Blood Elves vs Tolkien Elves

Post by Lancer »

somehow, a dimensional portal between the Warcraft-verse and the LotR universe opens. Prince Kale, believing it to be the portal to the outworlds where he will overthrow a demon Pitlord and take over the force of fel-orcs, sends his forces through the portal. They emerge and set up camp outside Rohan. Later, the tolkien-elf army marches to reinforce Rohan. The tolkien elves find the Blood Elven camp and attack. The entire elven force that arrived at Rohan is fighting the blood elves. The Blood Elf army is about 3/4th the size of the Tolkien elf force, and is comprised of mostly spellbreakers, Lt's & archers. The blood elves also have some glaive-throwers, engineers, sorceresses and priests scattered throughout the rear of their army, as well as Prince Kale (with his hero-bonuses & abilities). Who wins?

I think I'd go with the blood elves; both Tolkien elves and Blood Elves are damned good archers, but Blood Elves have the advantage of healing powers and other magic that ensure that they recover from their wounds while the T-elves die.

Which age are we talking here? It really makes a difference. If it's early enough, chances are there'll be a few of the really badass elves around- ones that are only pressed if faced with more than one balrog. God help them if they run into Feanor's boys.

If it's third age we're talking about then it's probably even, maybe Blood Elves, as most of the truly heroic elves have gone west, and none of the magic in that age can really compare to some of the Warcraft feats.

Since Rohan is mentioned, it must be after the fall of Numenor.

The Tolkein elves should be more than enough to handle it. The Blood elf magic is sot of iffy. The Spellbreakers, for instance, aren't really all that hot against enemies that don't use magic. Mostly, though, the Blood Elves aren't going to get a chance to use their healing arts.

*Thunka Thunka Thunka* go the arrows = Blood Elves die in droves.
