Lodoss vs. Middle Earth

Post by Darth Fanboy »

The beginning of what I hope could be an interesting debate.

Battle scenarios Im pondering:

1) "Good guys" from LoTR vs. Bad guys from RoLW

2) "Bad guys" from LoTR vs. Good Guys from RoLW

3) Saruman or Gandalf vs. Vagnard

4) Pirotess or Deedlit vs. Legolas

5) Ashram vs. Balrog

6) Hobbits vs. Shooting Star or Narse (for entertainment)

I say the good guys
2) "Bad guys" from LoTR vs. Good Guys from RoLW
Definetly the bad guys.
3) Saruman or Gandalf vs. Vagnard
Not sure.
4) Pirotess or Deedlit vs. Legolas
I say Deedlit or Pirotess. Mainly cause they actively use magic compared to Legolas.
5) Ashram vs. Balrog
Balrog, methinks.
6) Hobbits vs. Shooting Star or Narse (for entertainment)
I don't know.

Sure, they;ve got magic, but if we're toalking a versus-type battle Legolas pulls out his bvow and has both of them impaled multiple times before they finish their spells.

Either that, or Deedlit swoons over Orlando Bloom's hot elf body...

I smell some cross-story slash fiction being prepared.

However the agility of both Deedlit and Pirotess are superior to Legolas (even the super legolas of the movie) and Pirotess had to problem to create a shield to stop a breath from a dragon from close range, what to say about arrows...

1) "Good guys" from LoTR vs. Bad guys from RoLW

Bad guys from RoLW. We've seen the good guys pressed to the limits by mere Orcs and some small dragons. Have them try taking on an army of Marmo soldiers who constantly come back to life in the attempt to ressurect Cardess. Add in some of the large Dragons of which no one in LoTR could hope to defeat, and several old artifacts like the Spectar of Domination. Their only chance is the army of ghost soldiers. Of which may be influenced by Ashrams sword.

2) "Bad guys" from LoTR vs. Good Guys from RoLW
Bad guys from LoTR, just out number them too much.

3) Saruman or Gandalf vs. Vagnard
About as well as Carla, but even she couldn't stop Vagnard.

4) Pirotess or Deedlit vs. Legolas
They both have remarkable reflexes, good use of spells, and several hundred years of experience on their side. They should be more than enough for Legolas.

5) Ashram vs. Balrog
I don't know how powreful Balrog was, but he likely wasn't as powerful as the Dragons that Ashram had slainin "Chronicals of the Heroic Knight", oh which I'd give a small edge to Ashram,

6) Hobbits vs. Shooting Star or Narse (for entertainment)

And the hobbits die entertainingly.

If this gets more replies than my "Hyarmendacil's Gondor vs. Marmo" post I'm going to be so pissed...

Mordor Outnumbers FLaim, Valis, and Moss by that big of a margin?

Well seeing how many troops Mordor had to send to the various castles (for major battles), and still had many left to defend Mordor itself. I'm not sure if the combined might of the RoLW troops would even measure up.

But that was hard to judge due to Marmo systematicly taking over small towns and castles, til there wasn't much left except for Alania IIRC. Though didn't Niece befriended a dragon when she lifted the curse of the old empire so the dragon didn't have to protect the kings teasure? That would help even out... not that I think about it , I need to think about that more

Its worse than that: Mordor had many more troops to bring up if needed. The assault on Gondor was little more than a scouting party. There were a few other, albeit smaller armies attacking all across the west. And there were even larger reserves.

They were the small dragons, which were probably comparable in size to the dragons that the servants of Sauran. But a few good spells would help even out the battle against the Dragons.
