What the hell are pencil boards?

Post by Joe »

OK, I have two of these from my Boogiepop Phantom Ultra Edition box set, and I've spent the last two months trying to figure out what their purpose is. What the hell are these things for? Are they just useless collectibles?

I'm studying for the CPA exam. Have a nice summer, and if you're down just sit back and realize that Joe is off somewhere, doing much worse than you are.

They're for putting on top of a surface, under your sheet of paper so that you don't marr the surface with your pencil. But they've evolved into more of a collectable than actually being useful.

By the way, unless mine are hidden somewhere in my Box Set, I didn't get any.

I see Well, I would never use these for that purpose, other sheets of scrap paper work just fine.

Yeah, pencil boards like that aren't supposed to be used.

Did you get the Ultra Edition box set, or just the normal box set? I bought the Ultra Edition from Best Buy, and got all four DVDs, two music CDs, a set of cards, and the two pencil boards.

They're best used as collectors things :)

I keep mine in the drawer with my cels, occasionally taking them out to gaze lovingly on them.

No, though I do plan to visit eventually, and some of the staff there have asked me over a few times. I just do some work online for them.

Ah. Just curious -- I live near them and occasionally head to the retail store.
