Right almost forgot Alexander Lyods (erm how do you spell that) series. I think I read that a long long time ago. Non the less its a great series. Sure its a bit childish, but its a fun read. I will continue adding books as I remember them. As you guys post I start remembering so many old novels...wow.
We should have a great many fewer disputes in the world if words were taken for what they are, the signs of our ideas, and not for things themselves.

Lloyd Alexander, the Taran the Wanderer series. They're pretty good. I like the prophetic pig.

Would the Belisarius saga by Drake and Flint (IIRC) count as fantasy? Those are pretty good.

Are those any good? I've liked her sci-fi, but I'm wary of science fiction authors writing fantasy.
Asprin - Myth Adventures
Another great spoof. It's really funny once the Mob gets involved.

That's Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, isn't it? I liked that one.

Yeah, I just finished reading it and it was good. Her Herris Serrano scifi series is also worth reading.

The very same, and glad to hear it.

They may have claymores and Dragons, but we have Bolos and Ogres.

That's more sci-fi, in my opinion... but I suppose it could be considered high fantasy.
I think most people would agree with you, its just that between the psionics and ... well just the psionics convinced me to put this nto the fantasy catagory like The Rowan.

Well... the engines and biological WMD kinda lean it towards sci-fi... so I guess it falls inot "post-apocolyptic high fantasy"

I know what you mean, but nothing says you can't have both magic and high technology in a fantasy setting. Just look at the Final Fantasy games.

It's not on there, but I'll list the Narnia series.
