Because that often gets associated only with magic. And since we already have a problem with people not understanding the point of forums, sci fi for sci fi, it should be a very clear name.

I understand the reasons for creating this new forum, but why not call it the Fantasy forum instead?

Mostly because then Comic's discussion would auto shunt to OSF...and pretty much a slew of poor comic topics is what put this here(along with others)

I'm a little bit annoyed to have the blanket idea of all magic vs. threads containing no science, but whatever. It's nice to have a forum just for it.

I would merely have OSF renamed Other Science Fiction and Fantasy.

But, shouldn't this forum be listed at Not Science Fiction part of the board, instead of Science Fiction?
