At just before Harry loses it at the end, just before Voldy shows up, he was killed by his cousin.

Well I for one am continued to be impressed with Rowling's consistancy and clever writting
Consistency? Does that include not having plotholes? I find the ending to be so full of holes that I'm amazed that the majority of SD.net, of all places, would give this book a thumbs-up! There were SOOO many ways of avoiding what happened at the end:

1. Harry should have just stepped OUT of the fire to look for Sirius in his home (and he could have emerged from the fire prepared to give a can of whoop-ass to Umbridge, too) Honestly the stick-your-head-in-the-fire trick annoyed me the first time Harry used it, there was simply no reason for him to use it whereas Sirius had the plausible reason of making a quick escape from Hogwarts. With Harry all the danger lies on his side not the other side, using Sirius's trick was completely counterproductive...

2. He should have opened the package Sirius gave him. Honestly does he think just opening the package would have sent Sirius flying out of his house? Harry should have been stricken flat by his own stupidity on discovering the mirror.

3. Despite all that about avoiding contact with Harry, I don't see what could have avoided Dumbledore from giving a Harry a simple message along the lines of 'don't trust your visions anymore'.

It's the first book in order of how they were published, but it's the second story-wise. The Magician's Nephew tells about how Narnia was created to begin with.

Damn, I had forgotten all about those books.

Bah, Narnia was just the bible with none of the violent parts.
