She's a cleric of Loki. Fire is how they both kill, and love.

She wants her freedom. And yes, after all that talking, I'd have done something to him to show him what an arse he was being just then too.

There is also the possibility that the Snarl can shapeshift, or show memories of previous worlds it's absorb, as bait.

Weird thing to think about but I assume V is the one Durkon is less likely to propose to than Belkar, see as they are already married.

eta: after reading through it all, that is a very lovely conversation between them.

Interesting take on the conversion from Evil to Good, and another notch forward on that trip for Belkar. Will we see him make the full transition before his prophetic death, or will he stop at Neutral?

I think is conversion IS his death. The 'death' of the evil Belkar Bitterleaf, and the 'birth' of a new good one.

Especially since the Oracle is already shown to be one of those "oh-ho but you DID cause x" sort of guys

Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles."

V is likely no longer married. If I remember right she said she wasn't going to contest the divorce.

True enough, Durkon might not be aware of that or hoping they get back together though.

Durkon's mum continues to be all manner of awesome.

One wonders if Durkon's going to prepare Regeneration and Resurrection and cast them straight away now that he can or whether he's going to concentrate on spells to fight vampires with.

Mama Durkon seemed to instantly recognize Kudzu as her grandson. I know that Rich is being coy with Hilgya explicitly confirming it, but man I will be annoyed at this point if it isn't.
