VS Deadshot vs Hawkeye

Post by madd0ct0r »

Both are working alone, and have any equipment they may have expected to carry.
The setting is the English Village in Hot Fuzz, at the time Simon Pegg is taking down the cult. Both Simon Pegg and the cult will assume strangers with weapons or acting openly hostile are threats to be taken down. Both will ignore people they perceive to be tourists.

At the time Deadshott and Hawkeye arrive, they are not aware of the events of Hot Fuzz. Deadshot has been asked to kidnap an Indian Steel conglomerate's daughter who happens to be in the village for a geography field trip. Sheild are aware of the plot and are seeking leverage over the girl's father to gain access to certain interesting Indian sites. Hawkeye only knows he is to find and protect the girl.

Go.

Are we talking Movie incarnations? Or Comics?

It's very interesting. From the movies, I think Deadshot is the better shot; he's impossibly good with firearms. (The target shooting scenario for example) and he has the advantage of initiative of being able to pick choose his moment to attack and get the girl. While Hawkeye once he finds her is more passive.

For Hawkeye's part, he should have better info if SHIELD are involved and choose to pass it along. And he's better with the impossibly good situational awareness. (running the battle of new york, know SW was there and the korean highway scene in AoU)

Could go either way, I think a certain amount of luck is involved.

This ends with a dead Deadshot. Finding the girl will be trivially easy for any SHIELD agent who has been given support, if indeed they're not tracking her long before she arrives. The moment a criminal with a record like Deadshot shows up SHIELD will authorise lethal force (if Barton even waits) and he'll have an arrow in him from the watching Hawk moments later.

Effectively you have two precision shooters, but one has to watch and the other has to get up close and nab. That's decidedly in the watchers favour.
