In this scenario, Q decides to turn you into a Fairy.

Fairies look like small humans and have human intelligence. However, they are about 11cm tall on average, are as a rule small, lightly built, have movable pointed ears, eyes that are proportionately twice as large, are androgynous in appearance and have a pair of dragonfly like wings growing out of their backs and bioluminescent skin. Fairies can fly (if somewhat clumsily compared to bats) and have a top speed of 30km/h.

Fairies have the following magical abilities...

• Making plants grow: they can make plants grow at a rate of about a cm a minute if they can touch it, sucking in all the carbon dioxide from the environment.
• Controlling how plants grow: An extension the plant growing abilities they can control how plants grow. A fairy can make a chair out of living wood.
• Biological immortality: Fairies don't die from aging and stop aging when they reach the age of 20 or so.
• Controlling small animals: Fairies can control animals with brains. The maximum size of an animal they can control is a terrier. Cats are for some reason immune to this.
• Memory erasure: A Fairy can erase the memories of post pubescent humans going back up to an hour, this is done basically by glowing brightly for a bit in their eyes if you are within 2 meters of them
• Sleep spell: makes humans fall into a deep sleep, requires contact
• Transformation of Humans: Fairies can cast a spell which causes human to turn into fairies over the period of a few minutes. The excess material falls away as CO2, water vapor and ash.

These abilities are for some reason at their most powerful while holding and waving a stick.

Fairies have an aversion to concentrated refined iron. Touching objects made of steel gives them a splitting headache.

You also get a tunic like garment and hat made out of leaves and underpants made of spider silk so you are not naked.

Q will turn you back into a human if you can turn at least one other Human into a fairy.

I could also start a massive volunteer army to combat things like climate-change and famine by having them mass-grow plants and absorb CO2.

Or I could open up a specialised furniture shop and make a ton of money seeing as I could grow a plant into any shape I want. I could join a reality TV show by getting animals by getting animals to do what I want.

Apart from having an even smaller penis than normal odds are my prospects as a fairy are probably better than mine right now, provided I don't get dissected.

Why would I ever want to turn back human? Aside from the biological immortality being a fairy means I'm now able to grow my own house, fly, ride around on a ferret steed, and generally get away with almost anything I want due to memory wipes. Plus this means all the hippy chicks, otherkin, and generally disaffected women I could ever want in either human or fairy form. This deal gets slightly worse if Q returns me to human if I turn another human fey in spite of my wishes.

If I can't find a gun small enough to blow my brains out, maybe attempt to become a celeb so no fairy dickery can follow and find somebody trustworthy enough who would want to be a fairy without abusing their powers.

Honestly being a incredibly tiny person with magical mind altering and possibly highly dangerous powers sounds like a mix between horrifying and a bad idea for an angry asshole with people problems like for me. Being a tiny little shit who can't really interact with much tech sounds shitty enough, being able to control people and animals sounds like a power that is just waiting to be abused, making and controlling plant growth (especially if you can practice or find some way to make it faster) sounds like some shit that might create a super-villain in the wrong hands, and turning people into alien eyed abominations (especially without their consent) sounds like a mix between rape and Cronenberg body horror.

The only thing that sounds appealing is the ability to help the environment but I don't want to be some Fern Avatar Gully reject to do it. Immortality sounds nice for awhile but certainly not as some anti-tech freak smaller then the average penis size. Which leads into sex, the only way I'd be having it as a fairy is growing some really interesting plants or going spelunking.

Flying would be cool but being a tiny, weak, and clumsy flying creature would probably wind up making me like alot of birds, splattered on a windshield or attacked by a cat (which you can't control). You are biologically immortal, don't mean you are fully immortal so running into a windshield of a moving car or getting "played with" by a cat is sure to wind up killing you just like a bird.

Now it might not be so bad if I could at will transform between a human and fairy (even if there was a rule that I had to spend so much time as a fairy a day as long as it ain't excessive and couldn't use my fairy mindfuck powers as a damn dirty human) but being stuck as a fairy until I can con or body rape someone into taking my curse, nah fuck that.

Volunteer as an astronaut. I'd be so much smaller and my plant-abilities can make space-born plants bloom. I'd be on the first wave to colonize Mars, being small and light.

Other than that, see the world. You can't get much more free than being able to fly. It's not like I much of a carrier in IT (and a whole lot of other things) as an 11cm tall person. If the distance is too big, just hitchhike on planes or boats (or cars even). I'd be so light and so small the crew would probably wouldn't be bothered too much or I can easily hide.

Questions:
- How immortal am I from a non-aging standpoint? Am I still sensitive to radioactivity? Diseases? Cancer?
- Physically speaking, what will go on when I'm so small? Do I need very few calories? Is my ability to withstand cold or hot weather the same as if I were a regular human?
- Most prominently, how will my food requirements work? How much food will I have to eat? Because of my small size, my diet is looking to become very complicated.
- Will my plumbing downstairs change? Am I able to produce children with woman fairy?

For example, what would happen if I were to use it on a terminally ill person? Will they be just as ill as fairies? Also, what about old people? Will they become young or stay old?

An 11cm hovering animal is roughly equivalent to one of the larger hummingbird species and will probably mass 15ish grams and consume 10ish calories per day. However there is no way to fit appropriate wing muscles into a human shaped body, so you would have to assume either supernatural muscle efficiency or just levitation magic. You would really need warm clothing, birds and rodents of that size have efficient feather/fur insulation.

If there's levitation magic going on, I see no reason that there wouldn't be fairy insulation magic going on as well, as the general majority of fairies tend to be lightly dressed. The whole notion is a bunch of magic anyway and there's not a whole lot of point trying to explain it with science-- it passed that threshold a long time ago.

What would I do? Fuck around with it a while, turn someone into a fairy (after making sure they're okay with it) and then decide one way or another. I wouldn't realistically know what I would want in that situation...

If people find out about my memory erasure ability I'm going to get a whole lot of attention that I don't want. Therefore I'm going to keep that as secret as possible. Which means never using it and doing all I can to make sure that anyone I'm thinking of transforming will not use it before I transform them. I'm not getting turned back into a human. I'm probably going to be the only fairy for as long as I can stand being the only one.

Interacting with technology will be tricky. But voice control and using a smartphone to replace human sized input devices* should help a lot.

*I'll need a human to carry it. But that's not going to be a problem when I'm going to be working with humans.

Pssh. The iron thing may have been a problem back in the medieval era, but nowadays we have plenty of advanced composites and non-ferrous metals. I'd use my plant and animal control powers to make enough money to commission an iron-free fairy-size mouse and keyboard and never look back.
