Beware the Batman Returns

Post by Dartzap »

Digital Spy
Cartoon Network has confirmed the return of Beware the Batman.

The animated Warner Bros series will not be airing in the DC Nation slot, however, and instead has been scheduled for Sundays at 3am EST in the US from May 11.

The series was pulled without comment in October 2013.

The new, late night slot will begin with the previously aired 11 episodes before launching into the remaining 15 episodes in July.

Beware the Batman will not return for the 2014-2015 season, joining Young Justice and Green Lantern: The Animated Series on DC/Warner Bros Animation's list of recently cancelled shows.

Beware the Batman offered a younger, more violent version of the Dark Knight, with Katana as his sidekick.

Well, thats that question answered.

Interesting that they're airing it at an ungodly timeslot.

Either they want it off their hands that badly or something happened behind the scenes.

Well you could argue they're airing the show during my working hours in my honour. You know that's garbage, I know that's garbage, the real reason is they want to get rid of the show but for some (probably legalese related) reason can't just plain cancel it, but at least we'll get a few more episodes of 'Beware Me' out of it (eventually).
Hopefully.
'Next time I let Superman take charge, just hit me. Real hard.'
'You're a princess from a society of immortal warriors. I'm a rich kid with issues. Lots of issues.'
'No. No dating for the Batman. It might cut into your brooding time.'
'Tactically we have multiple objectives. So we need to split into teams.'-'Dibs on the Amazon!'
'Hey, we both have a Martian's phone number on our speed dial. I think I deserve the benefit of the doubt.'
'You know, for a guy with like 50 different kinds of vision, you sure are blind.'

Are there different limits for cartoons to hit syndication? Or like Netflicks?

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.
Hit it.

I don't think there's a minimum for Netflix, they just need to work out an agreement. I've seen animated shows that lasted only a season end up on there.

On the syndication front, not sure. I've heard anything from 65 to 100.
