Countering a dragon with a bigger dragon. Classic strategy!
Never underestimate the ingenuity and cruelty of the Irish.
Re: The Girl Genius Thread
I don't think that was the plan, honestly, but I can't wait to see what "Franz" does to this young upstart.

Now the question: Did it hurt or did it just make him angry?
A minute's thought suggests that the very idea of this is stupid. A more detailed examination raises the possibility that it might be an answer to the question "how could the Germans win the war after the US gets involved?" - Captain Seafort, in a thread proposing a 1942 'D-Day' in Quiberon Bay

Look that the little dials and compare them to previous pages. Before they were yellow and sitting at maybe 1/4 or 1/3. Now they are glowing blue and look to be at/near maximum! I'll bet he feels great!

Re: The Girl Genius Thread
Well, yeah, but even the River Dyne can only provide so much power, and The Castle's been without a power supply for a long time, and I'd imagine the heavy-duty defenses take a lot of power. Usually, the Castle probably has a fair surplus of power for daily operations, assisting in violating Nature's laws, things like that. The surplus is likely stored for times when the Castle has to go through a lot of power in a short time, and the Castle has been running of that stored charge for all this time - not to mention that a lot of its energy banks were likely damaged in the attack that broke it in the first place.

... yeah. I'm surprised that nobody caught that sooner. I mean, seriously? Fleur-de-Lys and the first thought is that it's the British?
