BTW I voted Rowling. I know Tolkien better. If it was true that the most well-known writer is winning as most overrated, I would have voted Tolkien and so would the majority in this thread.

There have to be some real reasons there to back up the arguments (e.g. misogynism, bad writing, total ripping off somebody else or other stuff).

The rule applies to a population not an individual. And do you mean to say that SD.net knows Tolkien better than Rowling? Oh well I dunno, that may well be, but I won't just take our resident White Wizard's word for it

And Tolkien is running second, so that doesn't exactly invalidate my theory
