I'm studying for the CPA exam. Have a nice summer, and if you're down just sit back and realize that Joe is off somewhere, doing much worse than you are.

Bloody drink-spitting goodness

I especially liked the letter from New Line to PJ.

The Tolkien art gallery was bizarre, to say the least.

I actually like this theory about LOTR being a sci-fi tale told as a fantasy analogy.

Next time I'm reading the books, I'd interpretate them as a similar way... for example, the Orcs and Goblins being aliens, the Balrog a powerful robotic sentinel, Elves being genetically and cybernetically enhanced humans, The Shire, Rohan, Mordor and Gondor actually being different planets (or solar systems) and so on...
"Hi there, would you like to have a cookie?"

"No, actually I would HATE to have a cookie, you vapid waste of inedible flesh!"
