For Julian; or Against?

The year is 362 A.D. -- Though of course the Christian calendar has not gained widespread acceptance yet.

The Roman Emperor at this time is Flavius Cladius Julianus, known to history as "Julian the Apostate."

After Constantine, Rome swung towards Christianity. But Julian was the last of the Emperors to be Pagan, the man who stood against the tide and held the old ways, trying to imitate the philosopher-kings of the glorious 2nd Century:

So it is that the hand of fate was weighted against him. Now, however, the balance is tilted... In the opposite direction? Outside the city walls of Antioch shall be duly provided the whole active population of this board; or that is to say, any who have posted within the month of July. The arrival time will be in August. Also, their dependents, or immediate family.

Possessions will be those appropriate as one might have hiking or survival gear, or anything particularly useful to be applied in the world of the 4th century. The city is only a few miles away. Julian shall, of course, arrive there in the winter, and it is from there that, during the next year, he shall embark on his ill-fated Persian expedition.

Can you--or everyone in concert--influence him, or even through him, the course of history?
