I am a little unique in that I thought the first movie was exactly the sort of mindless awesome fun a GI Joe movie would have to be. It was like Red Alert 3: The Movie! If the next movie is anywhere near as much cheesy fun, I will be 100% in favour. And, well, Cobra flag on the White House? Hell yeah!

Action sequences seem like they have better pacing and what have you. I don't know what it is, maybe it's his tendency to deal with cartoonish CGI studios or maybe it's his stiff wire-fu stunt work, but for whatever reason Steven Sommers is in that list of directors that seem to do action sequences all wrong, along with Guillermo Del Toro and Tim Burton.

I personally would like a handwave line about how JGL wasn't *REALLY* Cobra Commander. He isn't returning after all, and anyone could be under that mask. Just say he was a pawn of the real CC.
