So can someone tell me exactly how "plane shift" works?
Pretty much exactly what it says, Dnd is obliging ike that. You teleport yourself, an ally or enemy to a different plane or dimension, like the four elemental planes occupied entirely by elemental creatures. Or in this case, the salad dressing plane. The trouble is, if V. doesn't know Plane Shift, he/she is likely trapped for the forseeable future.

Re: The OotS Thread II
On the other hand, I think Tarquin's (that is his name, right?) soldiers were ordered to arrest both of them; V might be trapped, but on the other hand is probably relatively safe and out of Tarquin's clutches.

"Cheater", nothing. V won brilliantly, and the dim elf is nothing but a sore loser.

V's not going to stay shifted to a joke realm for very long. If nothing else, the Imp can plane shift and s/he won't be doing the IFCC trapped there, so its in the imp's interest to get him back.

I was pretty sure when I saw Roy fighting Thog that it was going to be a build-up to an anticlimax gag. Behold my awesome powers of prediction.

Re: The OotS Thread II
Roy had actually started to get the best of Thog before the puppy went flying - and is it just the dust in the way, or had Thog started deHulking? If Roy was starting to get used to Thog's increased strength, then he could still win this on his own. If, on the other hand, Thog had started losing his Rage status, and the puppy triggered it again, Roy's in trouble again.

interesting thought, since the brothers are linked in multipal ways, does sabine's level draining effect drain both of them?

It might, but only because Nale is Elans nemesis, and nemesis's are always the same or a slightly higher level int OOTS world, not because they're twins.

Nah, OotS follows the laws of Dnd, and the laws of naarative causality. It's totally cool if the hero is at a considerable disadvantage when facing his nemesis.Alkaloid wrote:It might, but only because Nale is Elans nemesis, and nemesis's are always the same or a slightly higher level int OOTS world, not because they're twins.

Hmmm. Checking the OOTs and other forums it appears that inability to see the comic was a general problem, not just yours. So it should be fine for you at the OOTS site now.

No, it's a joke about how Thor and friends can't understand what Durkon is saying because of his accent.

Re: The OotS Thread II
Although, he said that he had been making a spell, and we've seen him doing research. In all likelihood this is the first time the spell has been used, and Thor and co. haven't heard of it before - what would you do if you were a pantheistic god, and all of a sudden one of your followers asked you to grant them a boon you hadn't even heard of before?
