I think its because she's clearing saying "BULLSHITTO! BULLSHITTO!" when she's supposed to be speaking Mando'a.

I seriously doubt Travisty has the power to effect YouTube, IMO.

No, but I imagine you can get that flag put on a video by simply whining about it enough. It's not like she seems to have anything better to do; she seems to haunt the entire Internet looking for instances of her name and then descending upon them in order to defend her tattered honour.

Actually yeah, on second thought, she could have sent some of her lapdogs to fuck with them. Whine and piss and moan to whoever matters over there till something happened.

I still cant fathom how she has so much control over some people. I imagine she must have pictures of them in compromising situations with a goat or something.

It's not hard to control someone's life when he has so little life to control.

The difference is (aside from Professor Tolkien actually having known what he was doing in making up a plausible language) that he didn't do it to pander to fans. He did it because he thought it had its own artistic merit. Also, Tolkien knew about the importance of consistant and believable numbers of soldiers in a story too.

As I said there, the KT Jelly fans must be stupid. By flagging it as "adult content", its going to get more hits than ever before!

I go to work for 10 hours, and "Talifan's" comments section on YouTube jumps from 20 to 32 in one day. I'm going to have to upload this on Google Video as well.

Wait until he realizes that most of the hits he's going to get are from people making fun of him. He'll run screaming out of his parents' basement, he will.

I'm sorry to rain on your parade, shit for brains, but the comments I've received have been mostly positive. The three or four KT Jelly fans who have multiple accounts here hardly make up the majority of people commenting on "Talifan!"

=Ooooh! The irony!=

You make me so sad, I want to kill myself on your behalf. Just for knowing I exist in a time and place where people like you exist. Donate your time and money to needy kids and maybe you can redeem the oxygen you intake.
I knew I'd attract the emo pussies eventually if I stayed on YouTube long enough. Try not to let your mascara run as you lament your pathetic life there, "Studds"...

I do donate my time to needy kids. Kids NEED to see my fuckin' movies. "Studds".

Pathetic.
That you'd sign on to YouTube 53 minutes ago, soley for the purpose of running directly to my movie to post a one word comment? Yup, that's pretty pathetic. Then again, all KT Jelly's fans have been of late.

It's scary how similar and mindless these Traviss fanboys are. Anybody with a brain can see how weak her "misogynist" and "spend your time saving the world" arguments are. Yet the Fandawhorians repeat those lame arguments like little brainwashed drones.

Everyone here recalls the brain trust that exists on the Comic Book Resource website and forums, right? Check this out:

TRAVISSTY

Karen Traviss is a Star Wars novel writer, and the winner of a couple of awards for doing so. She has written best selling "Republic Commando" novels, that tie in with Lucas-dictated continuity and probably provide an entertaining few hours reading if you're into that sort of thing.

She's also said that there were 3 million clones making up the Clone Army, a number dictated by Lucas, but enough to get a smaller army of fans enraged at her personally. For eight months.

Lots of nasty, misogynistic hate-filled ratings - and here is the extent one 41 year old fan will go to in order to make a point however invalid.

"It's a slap in the face to have us think such a small number (barely the population of our own planet Earth) of troops is sufficient enough to fight in a galaxy-wide war. It's made all the more worse that there are a good amount of people who will actually accept and stand by it without any consideration.

"By the by, this video has been deemed adult material. How sad, the children of Traviss must have their eyes shielded for them like the babies they are."

You know, when comics professionals complain about fans going overboard, they've never really encountered Star Wars obsessive, have they? It's like another league.
I'm sorry, but is this unmitigated asshat trying to say this whole Travissty thing is "beyond the pale" of fandom? Weren't CBR fanboys the ones who screamed bloody murder when Spiderman had organic webshooters in the movies, Wolverine wasn't wearing yellow spandex in the movies, and hundreds of other nitpicking little tirades that add up to yet another round of Pot - Kettle - Black?

More nerd snobbery. Looks like Bryan Lambert isn't alone (although he is alone in his Johnny Quest Rover fetish :) ). As stupid and strange as this sounds, intelligence is looked down upon in the geek community. You can cosplay, write crappy 30-part fanfic "epics," kiss the ass of any creator willing to spend time talking to you, etc. and the other geeks will never say anything about it. You're just another fan, showing his/her dedication to the show, which is all good. But as soon as you start taking a rational, analytical approach to the fiction (while even acknowledging that it's just fiction) other geeks will call you "obsessed." This retarded phenomenon isn't even unique to the SW fandom. In another fandom I've been involved in, the more intelligent, discerning fans who didn't fall in line and kiss a certain writer's ass were labeled "superfans" by the toy-collecting, actor-stalking, fanfic-writing dorks who made up the rest of the fandom.

The writer here is clearly a Traviss asskisser. What was the point in saying that Traviss was an award-winning SW writer (is this even true?)? Notice how he misrepresents the issue, claiming that the 3 million number was dictated by Lucas, even though Ryan Kaufman said it wasn't (but later tried to backtrack) and other authors like Saxton have gotten away with implying bigger numbers. He's also such a fucking retard that he actually parrotted Traviss's lame "misogyny" bullshit, proving that he doesn't understand a damn thing that he's talking about. I wonder how many KT zombies like this are out there.

Traviss' shameless use of the gender card is no different than Johnnie Cochrane's use of the "race card" during the OJ Simpson trial. She'll use every conceivable trick at her disposal to score points, and there's a certain class of people who fall for that sort of thing. You knew them as the OJ Simpson jury back then, and you know them as the Traviss brigade now.

Exactly. And her "defenders" are those that think they're protecting a defenseless maiden, because, as we all know, you can't criticize someone if they happen to be female. That's just wrong.

Rosie used to be a huge Robin Cook fan...until she met the arrogant piece of shit.

All the assholes have a way of coming together. Do you guys remember how a couple of years ago, this Lee Goldberg claimed that fanfiction was immoral? I wrote about my own problems with the guy here. Long story short, Goldberg came on as the new producer of a successful TV show, and ran it into the ground in one season. He disregarded all previous continuity (something he was completely open and unrepentant about), and was apparently involved in a lot of flame wars with the fans. It makes sense that he would agree with Karen Traviss about the "Talifans."

I'm just amazed how many crappy webboards Traviss is signed up for. She literally seems to go around the internet looking for people talking about her, then jumping in so everyone can tell her how great she is or so that she can take another gratuitous shot at the "Talifans." When you factor in the "internet self-promotion" time, it's little wonder she can't stop to read another writer's SW book or do any real research before she chose to sit down and start writing.

BTW, Karen, since I know you're reading this, you could always just sign up to SD.net (unless you try and use some hotmail account, of course).

"It's a slap in the face to have us think such a small number (barely the population of our own planet Earth)
Three million is barely the population of planet Earth?

More like less than one two-thousandth of the population of Earth. Who wants to bet that he just made that "quote" up? That, or he sifted through tons of anti-Traviss stuff to find the dumbest one.

Either that, or it's a misstatement. People have posted a LOT about the issue, and it's conceivable someone slipped up.

And yet, even the dumbest-looking quote they can find from some random Internet post about the subject is at least as intelligent as Traviss' central argument about a galactic war being nothing more than "small brushfires" despite multiple planets being wiped out and the Republic on the verge of "CRUMBLING" according to Mr. Lucas himself.

Besides, more to the point, whoever wrote that would immediately admit his mistake. Traviss would never do any such thing, and she'll accuse you of misogynism if you expect her to.

True, which probably still means that he sifted around to find the one where someone slipped up, and implied that it was typical.

Isn't that just making it worse that Earth's population obviously is bigger than 3 million? If the Clones really did number Earth's population (6 Billion or so) they'd be about 2,000x more realistic. That's still retardedly low, but at least then they'd number as much as the one goddamn planet we already know.
