i want to test the waters here and see who does i love the reality curtis saxton has put into star wars its about time someone did i have thrown away all my eu books because they just suck and if i pissed you off i'm sorry i know for certain that fighters cant replace cap ships in anyway shape or form star wars space battles are not like modern naval battles fighters have no effect on a cs with its shield up now if they are down and enough fighters the cs may have a problem.

No. They may be more fighter-centric than the Empire, but they still needed capital ships to defeat the Empire, and powerful ones at that.
