I've never seen an armor thickness figure for a Star Wars ship, 10 meters doesn’t seem like all that much, especially since a Imperial self propelled artillery piece that’s the whole of 30-60 meters long it self can blast though
through 20 meters of plating with one shot from any of its four heavy cannons.

Well, the NRDF considers the Mediator a battlecruiser, so I'm assuming that it'd be at least as prestegious as Home One, if not moreso. The latter dedicated a great deal of space to its carrier facilities and C4ISR systems, the Mediator may be a more balanced ship.

Going with ISD1 = 10000 pts, I'll outline some of the NRDF:

MC80: 8500
Liberty: 9000
MC80b: 12000
MC90: 13000
New Rebellion-era ships: 17000
Home One: 20000
Mediator: 30000
Viscount: 50000

RSD: 5000 (half the cost of an ISD1 with firepower between the ISD1 & ISD2)
DSD: 9500 (firepower of the ISD2 @ 1km length)

Bothan Assault Cruiser: 7500 (similar to VSD in firepower, much stronger shields and armor)
Assault Frigate: 4000

The New Republic also calls ships only 1000 meters long battlecruisers. The NJO is full of them. Theres seems to be some unknown KDY call floating around.

True, but they also call standard Mon Calamari ships cruisers...damn the EU authors for mucking up the whole NRDF OOB.

Different manufactures equals different classification system. That works out most of the time anyway. Course their where those 300-meter battlecruisers floating around in Spector of the Past.

Anyway, while the Mon Cal's MC80 series might be bigger and classed as cruisers, I'd expect that a purpose built KDY warship would be more powerful even if smaller. That might explain the naming. NRDF vessels are more powerful for the length then Imperial vessels it seems, most likely because of a lack of troops and having 1/10 the endurance.

In this case I'm working with a single manufacturer, though - the Mon Calamari yards.

Yep. They cut down enduance to something like 6 months on their command ships and stripped out the troops. Not neccessarily a bad decision, though I wonder why the Empire insisted on six year endurance for their ISDs.

I'm pretty sure its It's five and five.

I have no idea why the Empire wanted 5-year endurance, unless that’s actually the time between refits, not resupply. Many novels suggested or actually had ISD's resupplying as part of a routine. Even if you wanted to keep stores pretty full once a year would do.

The lack of troops proved to be a problume in Destinys Way. While an armed crew might suffice for counter boarding, I'd want at least a regiment on destroyer rate ships. Both for security and landing. The New Republic might not conduct invasions and thus needs no heavy armor, but just having somthing to clear out a pirate base with or land to protect an installation would be good.

Aren’t space bombs unguided ballistic weapons meant for hitting things like space stations, not maneuvering star fighters?

Would you mind if I do some 3d shots of the spacebomb, photons etc. and of course the Vengance for the status panel? As I have meshes of those and some other stuff. (unfortunately in a format I can't convert, but can possibly render.

Six & Six. I just checked the latest WOTC RPG supplement when I was at the bookstore (I wanted to check the stats on the Defender-class SD).

I don't think it means refits - Mon Cal warships didn't seem to have to put into port that often. Maybe simply fuel or consumable supplies at a non-combat rate of use?
The lack of troops proved to be a problume in Destinys Way. While an armed crew might suffice for counter boarding, I'd want at least a regiment on destroyer rate ships. Both for security and landing. The New Republic might not conduct invasions and thus needs no heavy armor, but just having somthing to clear out a pirate base with or land to protect an installation would be good.
IIRC, that wasn't a big problem? They needed more troops on the base, yes, but I don't recall any boarding actions in Destiny's Way.

We'll it wasn’t a real big deal, but it would have removed the need for the 40,000-kph A-wing ramming trick. If the NRDF vessels had had assigned troops they could have sent them down after it became clear the Vong intended to make a large scale landing rather then fighting it out first.

As it was it was stated that they had no ground troops. While an armed crew might suffice for your day-to-day security and repelling any attempt by the enemy to board your own ship, it wont cut it for anything off ship.

I don’t think the NJO has any boarding actions against warships by non-Jedi period. However against a normal enemy whose ships could be used once captured with greater ease that capacity would have been of use.

The NRDF does have dedicated ground troops; they've been mentioned and been in action many times. My bet is that there not on warships because of the NR's paranoia about the Empire. Same stupidity that left the NRDF with only five major capital ships when the Vong came.

I'm using the ones from various Jedi Knight mod makers. Why exactly a FPS needs a 1;1 scale excecutor i don't know. :D
