Some Hearts of Iron questions

Post by Thunderfire »

I recently bought HOI. Problem the manual shiped with the game
is pretty bad.

1. Is there a possible way to keep provinces when a new nation gets
created. e.g. Vichy France - I lost all conquered provinces when vichy
france was created.
2. How do I move units via transportion plane? - I want to support
my japanese ally with a few paratroopers. My swiss airforce is currenlty
stoping any allied unit that tries to get close to the australian beachhead.

Well, do you have the latest patch? That would be my first advice.

No. You lose those provinces, but look on the bright side: the Axis gains a hell of a lot.

If you really want, you can forgo the creation of Vichy France. Just don't capture Colmar until the rest of France is already conquered. That way you get to keep your continental French territory, but it really isn't worth it. With Vichy France, the Axis gets half of Africa, plus Indochina. And even though it looks better on the map for Germany and Italy to control France, it's a lot easier if you just let the AI do its part, and focus your attention elsewhere.
And you may ask yourself, 'Where does that highway go to?'
