StarGate SG1 STGOD at SB

Post by Coyote »

For those who are interesred, a Stargate STGOD has begun. It is off to a slow start and could use some interested posters.

In the Story Debates menu you will also find a Discussion Thread for Out of Character talk.

The link I provide is for the story part only:

Enjoy or ignore as is your taste....

Something about Libertarianism always bothered me. Then one day, I realized what it was:
Libertarian philosophy can be boiled down to the phrase, "Work Will Make You Free."

In Libertarianism, there is no Government, so the Bosses are free to exploit the Workers.
In Communism, there is no Government, so the Workers are free to exploit the Bosses.
So in Libertarianism, man exploits man, but in Communism, its the other way around!

Can you create your own new power in this STGOD?

[T'ealc] Indeed [/T'ealc]

The SD creator, Mellian, set out in the Discussion thread a sort of guide to power and society levels, including tech and population, industry, etc., that are pretty easy.

For example, Earth is tech level 0
Asgard is tech level +5
Abydos is tech level -5

Mellian wanted to restrict player access to maximum tech level +4 since anything of Asgard level would be "too uber". One player is operating a minor Gou'aould System Lord, a tech level +4 power.

I have a tech level +1.5 power, a Earthlke society maybe 100 years more advanced, with solar system colonization common but little beyond that.

I'll go link the Discusion thread as well.

I'll consider it then.

Incorrect. A Stargate Story Debate has begun.

They are, but it might be nice to call it what the creator calls it.
