I use to play quite a bit of its multiplayer back when HEAT.net was still around. Even joined a clan. Wasn't a bad game, but ended up with the person who could play bumper cars the best won.

Yes, ramming speed always helps, especially if you have the bigger ship :D

Did you play the frieghter game, to me that was fun, except if you didn't do right on a mission, then that battletanker hunted you down and killed ya.

I never really did, most of the clan matches we had never got much past DM style ramming and such. We did have a few clans with us and we set up this structured galactic battleground where each side would have a fight and win territory. It was fun for some time, but the game was losing popularity and we never finished our little galactic war.

What do you meant galatic territory? all the multiplayer games are set in empty space.

What was your favorite mission, and what was your favorite system?

I liked Balance of Terror(especially the KNAT ATTACK) and I liked the Asterea system.

I assume they had a map outside of the game and they decided on territorial gains via battles ingame.

I played the SNES version. Have it on ROM now, actually.

I remember playing it before I got the net. I got a little feeling of guilt for destroying Connies. Though now I play Klingon Academy.

Klingon Academy was way better.
