You get an IBM ThinkPad X31 w/ a P-M 1.4GHz, 256MB SDRAM, 20GB HD, 802.11b and 16MB RADEON-M. Plus, you get the media slice with a CD-RW/DVD-ROM drive.

Why is this so outstanding? I got a HP with about the same stuff for $1100. Granted, this is a HP and not an IBM, but $400 is a lot of money.

That was like 6mos ago too.

Mainly because this would normally cost $2200 and you can get it for $1500. If someone's got the cash and needs a laptop, it's a good deal.

That is a good deal, I really like Thinkpads. I've discovered I dont like Netvista's much. Anyhoo, I dont have the money, nor the need for such a machine. Too bad no VP's need a machine. That would make a nice machine for someone.
