As for 1-million Segways, that just doesn't scream billionaire to me. You didn't have to invent anything new or waste money setting up a new way of doing things to create them.

Not all billionaires are creative geniuses; many just inherited their company/wealth, played the markets, scammed people of their earnings etc. and are content to coast along.

It's quite possible for a billionaire to blow a bunch of money on existing things without having to be a savant too.

Of course, perhaps this is just a smokescreen; maybe this is the kind of simplistic solution that only Musk would think of.
