My father in law has three surveillance cameras hooked up to his computer and uses Lorex's VistaPro4 software to bring up and record off of those cameras. The problem with that is that it will not convert it through DivX or MPG4 format even though his (and mine) have the relevant files\programs to allow the software to convert those video files.

So, are there any other surveillance camera software out there that is easy to use and can convert footage saved into such as .avi?

Or, does anyone here have experience with VistaPro4?
