Arthur_Tuxedo is going to hate me, because for the next 18 hours or so, Dominions 3 is on sale for 75% off at Gamersgate.

Also, the gog.com summer sale started. First day deal is Alan Wake and Alan Wake: American Nightmare bundled for a grand total of around 5 bucks. All D&D games 80% discount and Torchlight free for the next 48 hours.

It's okay, I've accepted the universal truth that as soon as I make a purchase, it will immediately go on sale for a better price and a far-superior sequel will be announced. ;)

Splatter - Just harder times is a fun little top-down zombie shooter by an indie company.
It costs only 10 bucks and you get to slay a whole bunch of different kinds of creatures. You can throw magnesium torches which function sort of like a zombie anti magnet and with which you can control where the zombies can go and where they can not go. They´ve got nice realtime lighting and a pretty decent sound track.

I´m half ways into the single player but haven´t tried the multiplayer yet, so I can´t say anything about that.
The Singleplayer is a whole lot of fun and is supposed to be between 4 and 6 hours.
It´s for Windows PC and you can buy it directly from the developers homepage.

On the website there´s a drop down menu on the left where you can set the language to english.

Borderlands 2 won the first vote, so it's currently $10.19. Current vote is for Saints Row 3 for $5, Mass Effect 2 for $6.00, or KotOR 2 for $3.40. I already own all 3, so I'll probably just vote for SR3 to count towards earning Summer Getaway trading cards. Current flash sales are Bastion for $2.24, Euro Truck Simulator 2 for $9.99, and Cities XL Platinum or Dark Souls for $7.49.

The Civ V flash sale also means that the new expansion, Brave New World, is 33% off. Not bad for something that just came out on Tuesday!

Tuesday? Isn't it over 2 months old? :|

Also, tip, NEVER buy anything in Steam sale below 75% or at least 66% for new games. Chance it will be on flash sale for that later are too big.

Better tip: Never buy anything in a Steam sale unless it is the daily deal, a flash sale, or on the last day of the sale. Otherwise you will probably be annoyed when it gets cheaper for its daily/flash sale.

Both KOTOR games are 66% off ($3.39 each) right now, so if you're like me and only ever owned them on a console which is now dead, now might be a good time to pick them up.

Also, Deus Ex: Human Revolution is just about to go on sale for $3. I feel like it has to be worth it at that price, right? (I've never played the game)

I bought Dues Ex: HR for $7.50 in the previous deal, only got maybe 1/3 of the way through before getting distracted by other games, and still felt like it was the best gaming value ((hours played * enjoyment per hour) / $) I'd had in quite a while.

I took a chance on the Swapper during a flash sale and it's proving to be a real sleeper hit for me. To anyone who likes 2D platformer/puzzle games a la Braid, Limbo or Fez, I highly recommend it if it goes back down to 50% off, or even at the current 25% off for those who like the look of it.

The Humble Origin Bundle came out the other day, and it's available for the next 11 days. Paying any price gets you the Battlefield 3 and Sims 3 soundtracks, paying more than a dollar adds Origin keys for Dead Space, Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box, Crysis 2 Maximum Edition, Mirror's Edge, Medal of Honor, and Dead Space 3, as well as Steam keys for all of those but Dead Space 3, and paying more than the average ($4.80 as of this post) adds Origin keys for Battlefield 3 and The Sims 3 Starter Pack.

Even if you hate EA and Origin, this is an insane deal. Moreover, EA is donating their entire share to charity, so you aren't even giving them any of your money.

Humble Origin Bundle update: paying more than the average now gives you Steam/Origin keys for C&C Red Alert 3: Uprising and an Origin key for the original Populous.

Anybody want a copy of Half-Life 2? I had bought it separately then picked up the Orange Box when it was on sale, and Valve has seen fit to count the two separately so I now have a tradeable copy.

The Humble Bundle 9 has been out since this morning, and it's a good one. I've had my eye on Fez and FTL for quite a while and this is probably the best opportunity to play them. Watsi is also included as one of the charities to contribute to, and I always appreciate when they have charities other than just EFF and Child's Play. The other games included are:

Trine 2
Mark of the Ninja
Eets Munchies Beta
Brutal Legend

If, like me, you have Xbox Live Gold and haven't played Halo 3 yet, it's the current free game from the Games with Gold promotion. From what I understand, Games with Gold are forever tied to your account, so you could even use one of those free Live trial codes to upgrade to Gold, get the game, let it lapse back to Silver, and still keep the game without spending a cent.

That's a game I'd love to get once it is out.
