I haven't tried it because I'm lazy, but apparently you can. Supposedly the default layouts are really fucked up though.

Skyrim is currently on sale for half off on Steam. Not sure how long they're running this particular sale for, but I suspect it's in celebration of Dawnstar's release.

Wal-Mart has the X360 version of AssCreed III available to preorder online for $14.98. It's definitely an error, since PS3 and WiiU are $51.51, but knowing Wal-Mart they'll either honor it or at least refund it after it's fixed.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II is now on sale for $9.99. If you haven't played this game yet this is definitely a good time to buy. It's a bit old now but still a lot of fun.

Download this if you do. It restores tons of the left-out stuff and makes it playable.

Want Rome: Total War? Have Steam? I'd buy it now. I did, in fact. It's a dollar. A dollar! What else would you do with it, a candy bar?

The Thief series has a 60% discount on gog.com this weekend, which makes them dirt cheap. Other games published by the same outfit as well.

BTW there's a new unofficial patch for Thief 2 which breaks down rebuilds the engine. Modern resolutions, removes the old rules on max polys onscreen etc - if you're going to play, get this. http://kotaku.com/5946462/whoah-system- ... se-patches

The DarkEngine has been modded to proper resolutions for years, HDR format least 2 etc. It's impressive that this hacks the shit out of the source code I guess, but whats the tangible improvement over all the other hacks?

And does it fix SS2 awful control system? :v

The poly count thingy is the most impressive. Apparently it could never handle more than 1000 (or 1024 or something) polys onscreen. With that limitation destroyed it means that people can make more complex models & environments.

Plus it can allow for draw distance increases, removing the need for shortened line of sight in designs.

And the Thief community has been active a long time and delivered some great missions/campaigns. I'll be interested to see what they can do now.

Walking Dead for $12.50. That's all you should concern yourself with in the current round of sales.

Having bought Dead Island a month back, it's well worth the 7$, it was worth it at 9.99

Rage is also 5$, that's low enough for me to drop money on it.

Just got an email from Humble Bundle announcing the Humble THQ Bundle! Starting at one dollar, pay what you want and get Steam keys for Company of Heroes and its expansions Opposing Fronts and Tales of Valor, Darksiders, Metro 2033, and Red Faction: Armageddon. Pay more than the average ($5.52 USD as of this post), and you also get Saints Row: The Third.
