This thread is for serious advertisement made by board members for especially sweet deals. Do not mistake this as a license for spam advertisement.

Each recommendation should have the following elements:
- the name of the product and the seller
- the price
- the reason for why this is such a sweet deal

Note that this thread is an experiment. If it fails, that will be the end of it. The mods also reserve the right to nuke whatever posts they wish from this thread, so no complaining about that if it happens.

I would advise NOT buying this game at any price.

Not only is it shit in its own right, it is actually inferior to the original.

There are many better things you can buy for that 7.49 or equivalent discount or not.

Steam has Batman Arkam Asylum on sale for $25 or add Just Cause to bring the total down to $22.09.

Yes, it takes 3 dollars off if you add Just Cause. Maybe because they know no one would play it unless you payed them?

Fuck you. Just Cause was great fun. Also - Just Cause 2 actually appears to be optimised pretty well for PC and runs great (in the demo at least). I actually am preferring PC over the 360 due to the finesse required for the grappling hook - it has stupidly forgiving autoaim for your guns, but can't just let you hook onto a building to prevent you falling to your death because you were a pixel off.

Sniper Elite is on sale for $2 at Steam again. I'll reiterate that it is definitely worth it for that amount.

Left 4 Dead 2 is 50% off on Steam. It's a "Mid-week madness" sale, so expect it to go away by the weekend.

It is however US $40.00 for us Aussies. Even after the 50% markdown. Huzzah for stupid "price parity" markups because publishers don't want to piss off EB who never stock their PC titles anyway. And because suckers pay it.

Does the D2D version still require steam, or is it DRM free? 'cause it'd be worth it to pick up a copy that doesn't require steam.

Not exactly. For some bizarre reason, steam is having "3 hour sales" at random intervals all week.

Incidentally, for the next few hours all of the GTA classics are going for $7.50. (GTA 1-3, San Andreas & Vice City in one shot).
