I'll have mine in a few days, but I'm curious. Are friend codes the only way to add people? Can you add people from random pickup games, or add people in games you participate in if you don't already have them on your list?

Since none of the launch games have online play, nobody is going to be able to tell you.

However, I think that games will use your friends list that you add manually globally, but some games will probably have their own lists as well. Like Metroid Prime Hunters for DS had your "Friends" list of people you added manually and "Rivals" list for people you added after finding in a game.

Yeah, I was hoping you could do stuff like that. I don't mind Friend Codes in themselves, but if you had to manually do it when you were already in a game with the person, that would be deeply lame.

I'm at 8714 6376 7236 1556. It requires authentication at both ends, so I guess everyone is going to add everyone?

I've got Mingle turned on for all my favourites. I'm finding that the only people I'm getting Mii's from though are those who I've sent a message to, or received a message from.

Yeah same for me: the Mii channel suggests that after a code exchange, 'mingle'-set Mii's 'wander around', which doesn't seem to be happening. The 'parade' function is always empty, although I've got Miis for several people who've emailed them to me.

I've got Faram's Mii wandering around my Plaza.

After Faram sent me a Mii yesterday, I went overnight from having 2 Mii's in my parade, to having over 20, from a number of different people on my list. Obviously a connection somewhere here.

I'm curious. I don't have a Wii yet (waiting on better games coming out first) but I do have a DS I'm using right now. Are these codes the same as those, or only for the Wii?

I think it'd be good to have DS codes stickied too, if not put in this thread. :)

Same kind of idea, but different implementation.
