To be fair, the four redcoats who escort him through the checkpoint are disguised friendlies (whether assassins or colonials, I have no idea). Whoever was playing called them in, hence the eagle call immediately before they appeared. The same sound is heard when summoned assassins assassinate someone in AssBro or AssRev.

Yeah, my point is that they moved past a bunch of sentries and they didn't go "What the fuck, sergeant? Your captive is LOADED WITH WEAPONS!"

But all AssCreed games have guards behaving in a decidedly gamey manner. Blah.

I mean, the entire idea of blending in the crowd is patently ridiculous, considering nobody else in the game dresses even remotely similar (the very first game had the monks/scholars or whatever that at least had the white robes, though).

That said, I still love the franchise, and it's not like there are any video games out there that do much better with random sentry/guard AI>

Well, at least Aveline wears period appropriate clothing and Connor wears a naval uniform when commanding his ship. Wonder what other outfits they'll stick them in. Maybe more Metal Gear costumes.

I think that Lucy's Spoiler
allegiences will be brought up. Evidently the callousness of the mentore of the assassins allowed vidic to play on their similar interests and her lack of contact to make her a templar. I think she started to have doubts though. I also think Daniel Cross (the guy who betrayed the assassin training grounds to the templars and slaughtered their leader, will be a boss battle.

During her infiltration of Abstergo, she reported information on the company's recent activities to the Assassins. However, Lucy's lengthy separation from the Assassin Order, due to her role at Abstergo, and distrust for William Miles led to her secret defection to the Templar cause prior to 2011.
When Desmond Miles was brought into Abstergo for testing, Warren Vidic instructed Lucy to earn Desmond's trust, so that the Templars could ultimately find the Piece of Eden located within his memories and use it in their plans for world domination. As Desmond's condition began to worsen, Vidic ordered Lucy to take him some place that he would feel safe in, with the two of them orchestrating her escape from Abstergo. Carrying out her orders, Lucy would eventually relocate Desmond to a hideout to join her fellow Assassins Shaun Hastings and Rebecca Crane.

Lucy's allegiances were already revealed in the previous games, though not explicitly. One of the DLCs for Revelations (IIRC the one called "The Lost Archive") mentions that she became a Templar while working for Abstergo. Some of Subject 16's clues also imply that she is really a Templar. Also, when you play the game online, you can "unlock" background information about Vidic and Abstergo, and I believe there were hints in there, as well. I personally thought it was obvious when the Apple forces Desmond to kill her that she was either a Templar or otherwise not legitimately on our side ...

She was one hell of a good actor then, agonizing over Assassins losing people and all.

Hm. You know, there were hints of guilt when Desmond was telling her how grateful he was for what she did. Would also explain why the Templar raid on the assassin safehouse in 2 was so lackluster...
