That doesn't balance; just one of your huge ships can wipe out large task forces without ever losing shielding and thus suffering any real damage.
The shields were based on SW-level tech, when I wrote it up I intended them to be about baseline with the sole exception of size(THus being truly ridiculously inefficient and weak ton for ton. After all, they are trying to run Culture tech off fusion reactors). They were not intended to be incredibly durable.

Sound expensive. Yield?

On an unrelated note, are there any Fenari still around who know I had a treaty with them?

Given Yosemite is gone, I'd say no until he joins.

Not very expensive. Missiles are fairly simple to construct. And automated factories reduce the cost significantly. Also I'm a socialist power. Yield is fairly low, but it's extremely difficult to intercept them all, or even most of them, so the vast majority of the firepower should get through, unlike those that fire relatively few numbers of very powerful missiles.

The Fenari, I might add, had joined the UTR and SCEF back toward the end of the ASVS STGOD mk.I. Although Halite's invasion kind of split them off, they probably remember that alliance.

I'm going to rework the map as soon as we get all the powers and force declarations in. We need to have a delay between the last of the force declarations and the start of the STGOD anyway.

Yes, relatively speaking. But there's still room for some seperation.

True, but that still makes a non-human power one of your closest neighbors.

For the Kzin, a big red blotch right where the Hephaestus sector of Boyd Space used to be, plus wide expansion to the galactic east.
