Your best videogame kill ever

Post by Skywalker_T-65 »

There hasn't been one of these threads in a while, and with the glut of new shooters on the market I was wondering if anyone managed to one-up their older ones. Personally my best was from back in Halo 2:

Picture this...I'm merrily flying around in a Banshee (so broken in that game...I got like 20 some kills with it once) when someone gets a rocket lock on me. Naturally I jump out of the thing, since Rockets are a pain to dodge. While I'm on my way down, I pull out my sniper rifle and snipe the rocket guy. After landing, I spin around and no-scope another unlucky player. Then my shields go down, and I turn to see my brother reloading his own sniper...just in time for the vacated Banshee to fall on his head, killing him instantly. Man, that was funny to watch.

Honorable mention goes to Halo 3...when you have to disable the shields to get at Truth, one of the Brute Chieftains guarding the generator spots me, gives out a typical roar, and jumps up to hammer me. I'm going 'WTF WHAT AM I GOING TO DO!!' because I didn't have a decent weapon. I look up and see the Brute slowly climbing up...only to clip the ceiling and fall down like a sack of bricks...having killed himself via head-bangning. Now that was hilarious, even if I didn't directly do it.

My best in awhile? Must have been playing a TF2 game after the last update on a minecart map. One of my favorite activities is to play on those Push maps as a spy and hang out with the enemy team picking guys off one by one. But once in awhile you get a nice streak of people not paying attention or listening for the distinctive I've been backstabbed" noise so you can chain a few in a row before being offed. Well on this round I had my best run ever as I literally got the entire team. 16 on 16 and I stabbed sixteen people in a row non-stop. Hiding by their spawn I caught a bunch of eight coming out together and slowly and methodically murdered all of them save the doctor as we ran up to the cart. I held of killing him to swing into a side building at which point the doctor left me and I came out upstairs to knife one sniper and shoot the other one down. I hopped down cloaked to quickly sapper and kill an engineers turret and the engineer (10) before diving right into a melee to stab a doctor/heavy combo (12) then got into a CQB with the last four guys and I'll be honest I got lucky with those last four kills as people with firing into our melee but I got the credit for the three face stabs and one backstabs as I ran around swinging.

Spy can often be like that, wrong place wrong time your dead. Wrong place at the right time, six or seven kills before they wise up.

In Final Fantasy IV, when it was known as Final Fantasy II, I was fighting the Final Boss, Zeromus.
All my mighty spells and attacks failed to kill it, and then he used Big Bang, killing all my characters but Rydia. Rydia had a stick left to hit him with. I had no ethers, no elixers or potions, and she ran out of MP. So I told her to hit with her stick. Rydia bravely stepped up and hit Zeromus as hard as she could with her stick, doing 1 point of damage, thus KILLING Zeromus.

The game: Battlefield 1942 (Desert Combat v. 0.6)
The equipment: 1x unarmed Humvee
The target: 1x Mig-29 flying at high speed
The kill: Drove the motherfucking Humvee right off a cliff and through the windshield of one rather surprised fighter jock. Which goes far to prove that unarmed jeeps are indeed an effective anti-aircraft weapon when used properly in suitable terrain

Not kill per say but kills. It was L4D 2, and I'm playing with a bunch of my friends who aren't tactical shooters. To survive the later maps, we have taken to simply charging past all enemy opposition so as to reach the safehouse, a damn the torpedoes so as to say.

So, during the train map, we did our trademark do or die tactic and charged up the fallen ramp, blasting zombies left and right. Unfortunately, the scripted event threw zombies at us in never ending numbers and our team members began to fall. We would double back, rescue someone, but we just began to get stuck and it wasn't long before our first fatality happened. As the second dude fell, well, me and my pal we charged up the bridge and just ignored all the zeds to get at the safehouse. Hunter? Bam. Shot in mid air. Bash the horde one step at a time, shotgun once it reloaded, until I managed to just limp it into the safehouse right ahead of the zombie horde behind me.

Seriously untactical, but damn was it fun being sheer idiots at time:D

My best is still from Worms: World Party. Playing against three of my friends, my turn comes up, and a use a pistol to shoot an exploding barrel, with the intent of killing the worm standing right on the other side of it. I did that, all right, and started a chain reaction explosion of barrels and land mines that lasted for at least two full minutes and killed every last worm on the map.

In Halo 3 I pulled off a one handed sniper kill from across the map "Narrows."

Also in Halo 3, I ended up in a free-for-all "Hammerzeit" match, where the weapons were restricted to gravity hammers, and in the pre-game lobby I mentioned that I was probably going to get masacred, because I hate the grav hammer. The match starts, and I spawn in next to, of all things, a chain gun turret. I'm not one to look a gift horse in the mouth, and I have absolutely no honor when it comes to shooters, so I break the turret off of its base and proceed to murder my way through the rest of the match. There is a reason the military doesn't use melee weapons anymore, after all. One guy calls me an ass, I reply that he's just angry that he didn't think of it.

They fixed that in a later update.

I still have the replay of the only Dystopia match I got in on with my clan before we stopped doing it.

We were attacking the last point on Silo, which you have to hold for a minute. Me and another guy were camping the only route the defenders had to come through, caught 5 of their 6 in our grenades, and without missing a beat I turned and melee'd the one that had made it through.

Silo is a terrible map, in a game that was mostly wasted potential, and we were playing the only team in the league worse than us, but hey, it was a great damn moment. Even better because they were using in-game VOIP, so their reactions are in there...

We also went undefeated in the Brink Team Warfare League... by virtue of being one of three teams that actually played any matches, and winning both games. Was actually pretty fun with 90% of the abilities stripped out... Especially the second level of weapons buff...

The only kill that springs to mind is one from Battlefield 3. Some dude is trying to get a roadkill on me with a jeep. He's already made one pass and missed. Usually this wouldn't be such big deal since I could just unload on him with my gun on his next pass, but I'm using a SKS set up as a sniper rifle which makes it a little bit more difficult. So on his next pass, I get right in his path and unload as many shots as I could at him, killing him, and then immediately pressing the use button to get into hte now empty jeep that is still coming at me at high speed. I manage to get into the jeep so it doesn't kill me, and then almost immediately I accidently kill another dude that was trying to sneak up on me for a knife kill.

I ended up dying a few seconds later to a sniper when I was too busy laughing to play properly.

My proudest kill moment is still the Gizza horde game I played w/ STRAK and Zac and Ian I think where I was the last survivor and I wiped like a bajillion grinders with just the more-tard. It was pretty amazing.

my favorite was killing everyone in scorched earth with one super sandhog, the very next round was my brother being placed right next to me, 0 deflection with only light shields up, so I loaded regular ammo, cranked to force to 1000, and bang, his death spasms, kills everyone (including me)

My moment of glory was at college playing Halo 1, there were 6 people playing in blood gulch, the score was me 48, some punk 49, with 1 minute remaining. In the last few seconds, I lob an extremely well placed fragmentation grenade in the midst of two players duking it out, earning me a double kill, and a victory to be savoured like fine wine.

Unsurprisingly, I never did get much work done at college...

I am not a particularly avid or skilled videogame player, so I'm proud whenever I manage to defeat my son David in Halo. I don't know how David ranks on the scale of Halo players, but I know that he can routinely beat sword-armed Elites, even on higher difficulty levels, by dodging their sword attacks and melee-striking them with an assault rifle: a skill that I am not even vaguely close to achieving.

Best videogame kills for me was whenever I managed to get a quad-kill in Bad Company 2 by either mining a road a fully-loaded bradley drove over or sneaking up behind/beside it and plastering it with C4 then running like hell away before detonating it.

When BC2ing with Strak, Los and Aaron, we played on the Vietnam map with the temple.

I was in the tank, bouncing back and forth to dodge grenades et al. A helicopter full of clanners came over the treeline, with one shot of the main gun I took it out. The same guys got in the same (albeit respawned) chopper a minute later. I shot that one down too.

This remains the most impressive thing I've done in a game since ever.

I once got a loaded transport helicopter, a tank and an LAV with C4 in Battlefield 2, but boy was that dumb luck for them to bunch up that much as I defended the middle flag on Gulf of Oman. Either that or the time I shot down a helicopter at long range with a single rifle shot and stole a jet's kill, also in BF2 has to be among the best ever. Its pretty hard to single out any one kill anymore though, so much is luck, so many happen, its the multiple kill combos that really do it. Times when you get 30+ kill streaks and destroy a half dozen helicopters and tanks in the same life are what rule. It really helps when the other side has pilots who constantly fly low.

Battlefield 1942 allowed some great moments flying the B-17 on Midway to carpet bomb the noobs packed on the fantail of the enemy carrier waiting for fighters to spawn and not bothering to man all the AA guns.

Not one individual kill, but simply the most enjoyable round of BC2 I'd played. Last round for the night before we all called it, map was Nelson Bay on squad deathmatch. In my squad were Ando, Stofsk, and a non SDN person. Server was initially quiet, then another sqaud joined and we wound up camping the roof the northeastern checkpoint and marksmanned like a merry band of arseholes. I got at least one kill by leaping off the roof and timing a melee just right.

I had a round like Bean's, but not quite so many kills.

This was back in my Counter Strike days. I was playing on Militia as a Counter Terrorist. Our team had been losing badly. 10 on 10 game. Somehow I managed to afford some gear after a few rounds. So I picked up a M4 and body armor. The majority of our team rushed the front door. They had been doing this for quite some time now and were losing every round. I went into the sewers and a single team mate followed me. Our first encounter around one of the corners ended up with my team mate dead and I took some damage while killing the enemy. I looked at the score board.

Every single member of my team was dead already. They were annihilated outside the front door to the house. They didn't kill a single enemy. So here I am as a lone injured CT facing 9 enemies for the remainder of the round. I hop up the first ladder I see and end up on the backyard area. I encounter two terrorists in the area and blow them both away. I spot another on the roof and waste him. Another shows up in the vent over the garage and he goes down.

5 down, 5 to go.

As I am the only person alive I decide it would be a very good idea to stay as quite as possible. I've been using the silencer on the M4 the entire time. I walk instead of run. This allows me to hear the enemy. I go through the gate towards the front of the house and end up in another firefight and kill some more terrorists. I get towards the front of the house and encounter another terrorist and kill him.

By now I am at something like 20-30% health. I have a little more than 1 magazine. I walk around the front of the house listening for noise inside. I hear someone running about. Sounds like he is moving towards the front door. I take up position beside a crate which partially obstructed the view from the door. My plan was to let him run outside. He blindly runs out the door and has his back to me. I kill him.

Now its down to one. Me against the sole remaining terrorist. He is camping inside the house. This isn't good for me. It means that he has the defensive advantage. But I know something he isn't thinking of. I have just slaughtered my way through his entire team single handidly. There are no reinforcements. There is no back up. From his perspective he saw a lone man annihilate every single buddy. So he is scared. Which means he is going to take up the most advantageous camping position he can think of.

I've played CS long enough to know the best camping places on most maps. Some are down right deadly. Others rely on surprise but are vulnerable when the enemy knows your location.

I suspect my opponent is hiding in the garage. It has the most hiding spots, holds two of the hostages. Gives him the most defensive depth. I line up in the kitchen getting ready. I've got about 20 bullets left in my gun. I figure I will fire through the wall into one known camping spot while running at the door. Gives me a chance to try and kill him and it might surprise him enough when I come bursting through the door.

So I line up my shot and charge the door. I fire a burst about chest high at a spot to the right of the door. Right as I am about the open the door the screen flashes that I have killed the last guy and the round is over. He was hiding in a crouched position beside the door waiting to ambush me as I came through. My blasting that spot caught him right in the head killing him instantly.

The moment the round is over half the opposition team starts screaming that I am cheating and wall hacking. It was impossible for me to know where that guy was. I calmly explain that I simply guessed where he might be and figured I'd shoot through the wall before going through the door. An educated guess, but also dumb luck. The opposition still thought I was cheating. My team and whooping it up. We finally won a round. They all bought good gear. We turned it around and won the next several rounds. It was pure awesome.
