Currently pic is showing....and the detail is excellent, so why can't LucasArts do this?

I like the model work much more than the textures. Nevertheless, I'm quite frankly astonished (and vaguely terrified) at the amount of work and sheer assortment of ships.

finally, something to break my addiction to sc. Now, hopefully, hw2 has stopped throwing hissy fits and randomly crashing 10-15 minutes into game play...

It's great in the "turbolaser" clip, that the heavies were used on the Imperator and that it actually came out of the barrels (unlike XWA). It would be even greater, if a full broadside could be done. :twisted:

Could someone tell me what all this is about? I'm assuming HW2 is Home World 2. Is this game out, and is this just a mod for it?

I've played the mod, and found it promising. There are some really good ideas in it. Though, I must say that the mod suffers from having too many ship types. For example, you have the Corellian Corvette then you have a Heavy Corvette, and many differant types of fighters, shuttles, Star Destryoers, etc., all which seem kind of redundant. Hopefully as the mod continues to develop, they will define what role each ship has in battle, like in the original game.
