The Asgard Marines picked the Zamban up and carried him away. He would be taken to the boat bay for his execution.

The KSN armada moved out from behind the moon, and made a short hyperspace jump to the outer edge of the system

"Power down all weapons, and go into stealth mode. Don't let anyone see us"
The fleet went into stealth mode, while the decoys went active, making it look as if the fleet was hiding behind the moon
NewPort

"Sir you think they're really going to try and Ambush us again?" Asked a young Commodore, her face twisted with the effort of following Admiral Tzu's logic.

"Yes, I do Betty, I really do. In fact I think they'll be hiding in the outer edge of the planet, since we taught them the futility of hiding in the center of the system. However we need to be on the look out for decoy fleets, if it was me I'd have several of them." The Admiral replied.

"So where do we jump in Admiral?" Commodore Nickles asked.

"We jump in several light months away and scout out the system remotly. We don't jump to engage unless we have rock solid comfirmation. Scan for hypertrails and such, trust nothing that screams it's a ship." The Admiral ordered. The commodores and flag captains grinned hungryly, they had won by luck and skill last time, if the KSE had been smart about it they would of had the lighter UP task force dead to rights. Now the Wild Hunt had been reinforced and resupplied things had changed.

7 light months away from the Dead System

The UP Task Force Wild Hunt dropped into the void, alone. Quickly a number of drones were launched, new drones with White Sun warp drives. The UP only had a few of them but Admiral Tzu was willing to use them and no one yet had said no. The probes raced into the system and begin darting about scanning and searching.

"We're reading KSE probes, they're broadcasting and blocking our attempts to trace, about has good has our probes sir... Reading a large signal behind that moon where we found them last time." Reported the tac officer.

"It's most likey a decoy, there is no way they would hide in the same place twice. Still send probes closer in to check it, I want them to be close enough to read the registery numbers off the hulls." The Admiral ordered.

"Aye, aye Sir. Also reading a hypertrail... I think someone jumped out of the area from there, unsure though."

"Keep scanning, go to full alert, Captain, inform the fleet I want us perpared to mircojump out of here." The Admiral ordered.

Manticore

Admiral Tomokato looked on in satisfaction as the last military shipyards broke into burning fragments under the Alliance armada's guns. "Assemble the fleet. We're sure there's nothing left to repair or build warships?"

"Positive, Admiral."

"Very well. Set course for Pinnacle, Nashtar Republic. We regroup there and move on to attack our second target."

"Aye, sir."

Australis.
Bridge of the Killer of Enslavers.

When one of the mighty Ouster cataphracts had disappeared in the midst of a fearsome fireball the full bridge crew had launched cries of joy. The Admiral was also pleased by the sight displayed in the screens, but he was worried about the fact that the Ousters had had the nerve to destroy the scout frigates almost inmediately and to change the setting of two of their interdictors to compact-net. When Australis reported the detection of more Ousters in the edge of the sensor network, the joy had been replaced by fear. And, unfortunately, the fact that even more voidworms were on their way was about to become the smallest of their preoccupations.

"They have locked weapons on us. Their capships, their cruisers. All of..."

The voice of the officer was silenced by the Ouster attack. Wave motion cannons, high energy lasers and antimatter cannons. The Ousters were firing at the weakened capital ships of the Confederation with everything they had. The unshielded and already damaged carrier disappeared almost inmediately under the onslaught. The deflector screen of the other dreadnought flared briefly before collapsing under the attack. When the gravitic field also disappeared, the antimatter bolts started their destructive work on the hull of the warship. The Killer of Enslavers had been the next and then...

It happened very fast. The shields lasted a little longer than those of the other dreadnought, but that wasn't a significative difference. The last thing that the Admiral saw before sinking in darkness was a beam falling from the top of the bridge, smashing everything on its path.

Although the Ouster antimatter cannons were busy with the complete destruction of the other dreadnought, the Killer wasn't in shape to continue the fighting after the attack. Both shield systems had been destroyed and with the gravitic field, the dreadnought had lost also its main STL drive. The forward weapons were offline and the turbo-blaster turrets had been destroyed. The transpace portal generator had been damaged beyond repair when one wave motion impact shattered the duranium armour hitting the FTL drive and one of the antimatter reactors. Through an enormous hole 300 m in diameter and 100 m in depth, the ship was venting air and antimatter, a dangerous combination in the situation of the Killer. The Prextazsak intended to bring online the maneuvering thrusters in order to make their way out of the combat area, before attempting to repair the warp core. Odds were that they would be destroyed before managing any of both things.

The second carrier was the only capital ship in the formation in situation to continue the battle. Although both shield systems had dropped to dangerously low levels, they hadn't collapsed and the carrier retreated from the front lines in order to give its shields the chance they needed to regenerate. The fast reaction of the cruiser Captains had been what had saved that last capship: there were nine cruisers left in the formation and teams of three had focused their fire in the bigger Ouster cruisers, heavily armed yet weak in shielding. The battle stations and ground weapon emplacements also focused their fire in another cruiser.

With their main weapons facing the White Sun capships, the cruisers had little chance to return the attack. Once a cruiser was disabled, the teams changed their targets inmediately: there was no time for meticulous destruction now, with more Ousters coming.

The destruction job was left for the torpedo frigates and their estrategic torpedoes. Some of the enormous torpedoes were launched against the disabled cruisers and carriers. It was unlikely that the PD of the active Hajr vessels would bother to shot down missiles that weren't a threat, particularly with the 4th fleet fastly advancing while firing torpedoes against the Ouster ships.

The voidworms seemed to have focused the atention of their small craft in the White Sun interdictors. One of the interdictors under attack had been next to the capital ships, protecting the center of the formation from Ouster tacjumps. Now, there were no capital ships there. Two had been destroyed, the Killer had drifted away from its position and the last carrier had retreated. There was nothing within the power of the fleet that could save the ship and the captain of one of the frigates saw it.

An estrategic torpedo was launched, set for proximity detonation. The projectile was fast. Faster than the reactions of the Ouster pilots at any rate. And when it reached the area with the bigger concentration of Ouster bombers, it detonated. Some of the fast bombers and interceptors made it out of that hell in one piece, but most of the heavy bombers that had been in the area seconds before were destroyed in the multigigaton explosion.

The Confederation didn't use many fighters as standard military doctrine favoured short range engagements, but as things seemed to have taken a turn for the worse fifty bombers and two hundred strike fighters escorted by a similar number of interdictors left the protection of the formation and headed for the Ouster capships.

OOC: The other interdictor was also destroyed, but there was no estrategic torpedo and almost all the bombers made it out of there. My bombers are roughly equivalent to your heavy bombers and strike fighters are slightly faster and with a bit less anticapship weaponry than your fast bombers.

Transpace
Bridge of the Masterslayer.

The 1st fleet was on its way. When the Ousters had arrived at Australis, Verolix had had the gut feeling that the war would we won there. He had ordered to move the 1st fleet to a position ten transpace minutes away from Home. That would still allow the fleet to engage enemies heading for Home while getting them closer to Australis. If the situation demanded even more reinforcements, the 1st would provide them.

When Pervatia's sensor network had detected the approach of another War Cluster, Verolix had ordered inmediate transpace transit. The distance between the systems of the Confederation were well known data.

Transit time between Home and Pervatia was of fifty two minutes. They had started their travel from a position fourty two minutes away. The Ouster reinforcements wouldn't arrive in at least sixteen minutes. Solution: they would arrive roughly twenty five minutes after the Ousters. Maybe too late to prevent the disaster, but they would certainly arrive before the end of the battle.

Australis System
Command Deck, Cataphract Heroic Sacrifice

Miyako focused on the battle. Her mind was a flurry of ideas, worries, and tactical difficulties. This was a vital battle, and perhaps a bit much for her, the greenest Admiral in the Hajr. She had performed admirably, and done excellent damage to the enemy, but it seemed that further fighting would only cripple her already-mauled command.

She cursed- two of the Cluster's Brief Life Burns Brightly strike cruisers had just been shot down, along with one member of the Expansion of Civilization class. It wouldn't matter, though- word was arriving from the fighter squadrons. Success.

She watched as the enemy launched stategic torpedoes against the Cluster's damaged members- but her fleet's PD network, no longer worried of incoming HK missiles (Recall, I activated a tightnet interdictor already), had little problem demolishing the small volleys from the already drastically understrength Confederation torpedos.

<<Report, enemy interdictor destroyed. Repeat, enemy interdictor dstroyed.>>

Miyako thumped the freecaster.

<<All vessels, Order Omicron. Repeat, Order Omicron.>>

The Kincaid Drive was a troublesome device. Compact and fairly power-efficient, it was also weaker than the standard hyperdrives and portal-drives used across Known Space. It was not without it's advantages, though- it was an extremely agile device, allowing near instant translation and sudden acceleration. It was for situations like these that the Kincaid Drive was used.

Tactical offensive jumps were a limited tool. Appearing near an enemy ship, engines kicking out gridfire as one dropped into STL, gave one a tactical disadvantage. The enemy would detect you easily, while your own sensors would waste precious seconds hunting for the enemy. The enemy barrages would benefit from your lack of decoys for precious moments until your launchers could provide cover.

Tactical offensive jumps suffered from many problems. Tactical defensive ones, on the other hand, were another story.

Vast holes had been rent in the Confederation intedictor screen. It was these holes that the Ouster fleet exploited, their own interdictors suddenly going black as they leapt. The 4th's fighter squadrons arrived to find only disappating patches of gridfire where the heavily contested fight had been moments before.

Miyako's command deccellerated out at the edge of th system.

:::::KSN fleet, dead system::::::

"Sir, we have coordinates calculated for the jump. The system is roughly one hour away from our current position."

"Good, stand by to power the fleet back up"

"How long will it take them to get a trace on our jump vector?"

"Once we jump, about thirty minutes for their probes to get a solid lock"

"Send the signal to the drones"

An untraceable signal was sent to the EM drones behind the dead moon, and thier engines flared. To the UP drones and fleet, it looked as if the KSN armada was moving out to leave the system.

To: Duke Claude Peipus
From: Tortugan Government/Diplomatic Affairs
Subject: Embassy Situation

The Tortugan government is aware of the necessary nature of the establishment of ambassadorial residences for the establishment and maintenance of diplomatic ties. We are well aware of the part that your nation has played in the guaranteeing of our neutrality and integrity and are extremely thankful. We are also shamed that due to a variety of reasons we have delayed in granting your request about purchasing a certain amount of land within Tortuga in order to base your residence. We do not mean any disrespect, but due to the nature of the conflict which appears to sweep through known space at the moment, and our ongoing reconstruction efforts, the matter has been somewhat weighed down beneath a wide variety of governmental debates. It was our original intention to create a small arcology to house all foreign embassies in a secure and protected environment. This plan had garnered a great deal of support, and it has proven difficult to have movement in any direction in this matter currently. We wish to assure you that we will do all we can to deal with your request head on and as promptly as possible. We will keep you informed as the situation progresses.

Unacceptable. I will have a private residence or none at all. If you do not grant me license to purchase the land I require in my own name, I will circumvent your authority by whatever means are legally at my disposal. If, on the other hand, you expedite my request with all speed, I will see to it that the possibility of economic aid to your nation will be favorably considered by my superiors.

Shi space, Edo.
Centeral Imperial Marine HQ/Training

Two bombardment fleets exited on seperate sides of the system, one fifteen light hours, the other only ten. Both had huge rages to roam to try and remain hard to pin down by the Shi battlefleet now drawing together and searching for the Etern warriors. Bombardment began as it had before, preparing for a long, steady bombardment against the major world of the system. The lesser colony world would be dealt with after the primary objective was acheived.

Hours later, the shells began to fall again on a Shi world, this time one where millions of warriors were. Undoutably, they prepared for the troops even now preparing themselves to be delivered to the surface...

New Okinawa

The Etern fleet that had sat in hiding moved out now, knowing that the Shi fleet would be torn between three targets to engage. It had taken hours to get the gunboats into their docking positions for the jump, but as the fleet emerged from an identical rift mere lightseconds from the planet, it became obvious it was a wise choice: Shi fighters were lifting off to engage.

Dozens of gunboats undocked and prepared to meet the mysterious 'Dragons', their heavy weaponry and shields hopefully compensating for their lack of maneuverability. Cruisers moved to shield the supercapitals from the tiny threats and from orbital guns. The heavy guns began locking onto what military facilities were present on this world, and opened fire with kinetics.

The Etern were pulling every punch they could. It was almost too obvious to be real.

Tortuga System - Unity Pact Neutral Zone

The escorts broke formation and headed out of the system almost as soon as they arrived, the vessel their escorting, a small unassuming transport bearing Minmatar markings appraoched Unity.

"Matar One, request docking clearance."

"Clearance granted, Matar One you are clear to dock."

A short while later the small craft attached itself to one of the docking arms. Minmatar 1st Guardsmen were the first ones to pass through the main docking ring. Several of the Minmatar Unity guards were also present, bolstering security for the event. A quick message sent back inside the craft let the others know that it was safe to proceed. Moments later he appeared. stepping through the main docking corridor and passing through the central processing area of the Unity docking ring. Dressed in a business suit featuring the star of Minmatar and a black tie the Minmatar Chancellor Markus J Spyder boarded Unity Station.

"Mr Chancellor, welcome to Unity Station." Captain Santiago saluted the Chancellor as he appraoched.

"I'm very pleased to be here." The Chancellor spoke as he shook the Captain's hand. "You crew has done a fine job, an outstanding job. I don't need to tell you that all of Minmatar is watching what goes on here, and so far they like what they see."

"Thank you sir, we do our best. We have arranged accomodation and organised a tour of the station later. If you like I can show you and your staff to their quarters."

"Certainly Captain, lead the way."

Location:JACKSON STATION, Primary Military base.

Four STACKERS escorted a WRAITH away from JACKSON station. They had just recieved word that the pirate base had been located and they were on the way to take care of it.

Normally HICOM wouldnt have bothered sending a WRAITH to deal with pirates but these pirates were different.

The biggest difference was that these pirates were not using Confedaration technology. The simplest answer was that they were from the old homeworld earth. But they sensor scans showed they used technology totally different. Meaning it was alien. The Council was trying its best to keep this under wraps.

The small FireGroup lept into slipspace.

LOCATION: Small Space Station

The pirates had just nabbed another frieghter and were in the process of going through the cargo when one of them noticed that one of the crates was beeping.

The FireGroup reverted to realspace, pointed toward the space station. The WRAITH targeted the station and fired all its MACs in one volley. The MAC rounds tore through the hull of the station, atmosphere venting through the holes. After five minutes when there was no fire returned, dropships carrying troops from the elite SPARTAN and IMMORTAL division, in vac suits, boarded the station. Everyone on the station was dead from decompression. But what was far more interesting was that the crew wasnt human. When HICOM got word of this they would go crazy.

Two Months later

After the discovery of alien life and a NAV database that had taken a month and a half to decode, the CSW had sent groups of four STACKERS out to try and contact other civilizations. The question was would they be friendly or hostile.

An untraceable signal was sent to the EM drones behind the dead moon, and thier engines flared. To the UP drones and fleet, it looked as if the KSN armada was moving out to leave the system.
Dead System

The signal was missed, the UP fleet being to far away to catch it and the probes were not listening hard enough. However when the decoys moved, they moved into the flight path of a probe, a probe that came within 400 meters of one of the decoys. It'd screamed a report to the fleet.

A second probe picked up on the hyper trail, it was old and diffuse, making readings difficult, but possible.

"Sir, the readings say that the movement is decoys, the hyper trail is hard to read however. I think they can follow it however"

"Do so. Inform the captain I want to be ready to jump in 6 minutes."

A handful of probes gathered and began to follow the trail out of the system. They would track it to it's finial point soon.

Unity Station

Behind closed doors Alex Dekhrynova; Minmatar's resident diplomat, met with the Chancellor. The two apparently had some catching up to do.

"Alex." The Chancellor nodded.

"Markus," Alex returned the greeting unformally, "I trust the voyager here was comfortable."

"Had better, had worse." Came the nonchalent response.

"I'm sure most has been better." Alex smiled.

"Of course it has. I still remember when the three of us; you, Kain and myself were still digging for rocks on Mars."

"Well that wasn't all bad, Mr Chancellor, I did like being human." Alex paused. "At least for a while."

"Do you want to go back?" Spyder raised an eyebrow.

"Ha ha, no of course not. I doubt that I'd function very effectively as a modern human. So many generations have passed..."

"Good, because we've still got a lot of work cut out for us."

Unity Station Conference Chamber
- Main Hub
Opposite side to Chamber of Representatives

Security was tighter then ever, no one but security forces, the delegates and the Chancellor himself were allowed into the conferrence chamber during the session.

The conferrence room wasn't quite as large as the main Representative Chamber but it was of fairly substantial size none-the-less. Tortuga and the various vessels in orbit could be seen out the large angular window just to the Chancellor's right. Somehow, despite having some of the galaxy's most powerful warships right outside, the scene seemed peaceful, perhaps even serene.

"Representatives of the free nations of this galaxy. I'm glad you could all be here tonight. I am honored that my people are able to be host to such a historic development as the implimentation of this station, this galactic forum where we can all meet and discuss our differences openly. It is unfortunate that Unity came to late to avert the crisis that is currently plaguing our galaxy but perhaps with time and patience we may learn to overcome our differences and join together in building a better galaxy for all forms of life.

"But tonight I am not here to sermon on the benefits this station may bring to the galactic community. I'm quite certain you've all read the brochure. I'm here tonight to take the progress we as individual nations have made and take it one step further. If you were to check the historical archives some of you may recall the mention of a gathering of several galactic powers known as the Free Trade Alliance. The FTA facilitated the largest economic growth ever seen by any known galactic civilization. Thanks to the FTA, living conditions improved all over the galaxy as member nations were steadily becoming more and more prosperous. However years of bickering and corruption between the various member nations soon ensured the eventual collapse the FTA and the benefits that it wrought.

"Tonight, we're taking the first steps in rebuilding the galactic economy. It pleases me to announce the formation of the Unity Trade Organisation. The UTO will be based right here on Unity station, its ultimate goal will be to pick up where the Free Trade Alliance left off. While any nation is welcome to join, one of the UTO's guiding principles is that there will be no obligation to. Today's economic environment is vastly different from what it was all those years ago. We have many nations of all different sizes and economic needs. The UTO will seek to address the needs of each nation on a case by case basis. The UTO's unique economic foundations will ensure that developing and redeveloping worlds such as Tortuga here," the Chancellor motions to the planet below, "are given every possible chance to grow into viable economic powers while at the same time maximizing the benefits of the other nations with stronger economies have come to expect from open trade.

"Among the UTO's other goals will be the efficient distribution of goods and services, stimulation of demand and eventually supply and a two tiered approach to the more traditional economic problems; for example the supply and demand model will be approached from both sides ensuring a feasible and efficient galactic economic model ensuring that everyone benefits. In future the UTO hopes to work towards the creation of a self contained galactic economic community, similar to the FTA, that will function at a seperate level to the different political entities while working in the interests of all the people of the galaxy."

Tortuga System
Tortuga

The Tortugan government took the words of the Vampire Duke seriously, immediately considering the words of the creature. The suggestion of Vampire investment in the weakened economy of Tortuga was of particular interest. The terms of their agreement with the Draconis promised that the Tortugan navy would no longer be a pirate force. Without that income, the government of Tortuga suddenly found itself having to deal with the prospect of cut backs. The reparations from the Draconis were in doubt, now that the Draconis themselves had suffered heavily at the hands of the Unification. The losses incurred in the short but victorious war against the Draconis had been significant, and it was unlikely that the Tortugan ground forces would ever be of the size they had once been. Nonetheless, if the Commonwealth followed through and their goods were what they claimed they were, the ground forces of Tortuga would once again be a potent force; smaller than before of course, but with sharper teeth.

Ultimately, it seemed as if when all the chips were down in order for Tortuga to continue to prosper, it would require allies and if nothing else, sacrifices. The fear of the Vampires was real, and while the words of the Master of Arms had been true, ultimately the opportunity was difficult to overlook with the current economic situation. The bulk of the money which had been made available to Tortuga from the Draconis had already been spent. Homeworld Industries, one of their major corporations had been tasked with building a small sized Arcology, which would serve as the new Tortugan capital. The arms contracts had been scattered about, depending on the specialization of various other corporations. The Ravenlock had been contacted, and negotiations were ongoing. The Vampire Embassy was given priority over affairs, and a final vote was arranged for the next day.

The final bit of debate between the various members of the Tortugan government was that of Unity station. The Tortugan navy had managed to get a closer look at the station, and the weaponry emplacements were isolated. The amount of firepower the station possessed was significant, and since the world of Tortuga did not possess a planetary shield, it unnerved quite a few individuals. It was decided that a representative would talk with the Minmatar and ascertain what their intentions were. If the Tortugan representative liked what he heard…

Veithan Sphere

The Veithan vessel slid through space and carried out its task. Its displacers activated at pre-arranged coordinates in order to transport its cargo from the cocoon like safety of its cargo bays into the void of space. The Empire was quite aware of present situations and had started on the so called “Janus” plan for quite sometime. The Ravenlock Consortium had joined in, and through negotiations Veithan ships were tasked with extending the network to parts of Consortium space. There were a few benefits for things to be carried out in such a manner.

To those outside of the Empire, it seemed as if the Veithans held their breath as the conflict between the UPA and the Unification along with the Ousters raged. They were wrong. The Empire wordlessly prepared for whatever could come, the mind of Lilandra always testing the strands of fate and destiny for signs of what was to come and what should be done. Within the Empire, space was abuzz with activity some more covert than others. Thousands of Veithan transport vessels civilian and otherwise plowed through the stars as each sought to do its duty. The far space holdings of the Empire were prepared, projects untold moved about.

The Veithan fleets, the most visible and powerful instruments of war the Empire possessed waited quietly in space. Their exact position a mystery to most not directly involved in such matters. No one as of yet, knew where the Empire would go or what it would do. But everything was ready for the possibility that War could come to the Accord’s door step at any moment. The local governments of the Star Kingdom of Manasa, the Myheri Republic, the Kalderi and the Anasazi had been contacted. Rumors spreading of all sorts about as to the reasons; in the end, many analysts agreed that the so called “Veithan Sphere” had become akin to a trapdoor spider.

CSWNN

"Good evening, I'm Micheal York and welcome to CSWNN. Our top story tonight, the Council has finnally reached a decision regrading the recent discovery of Alien life.

It was two and a half months ago that a FireGroup attacked a pirate station. Onboard were beings of another race. Also onboard was a NAV database. Using the data taken from the database, the Office of Naval Intellience aka ONI, dispatched prowler observation ships and groups of STACKER destroyers to see what they could see.

The prowlers discovered what appeared to be a massive communications network spanning a very large region of space.

And furthermore, wait a minute... Grand Admiral Stanforth is starting a press statement."

" Do to recent events, the following actions have been taken. The Council, with the full support of the parilment has begun a fullscale military build up. Second, all STACKER recon flights have been recalled. Third, a small fleet consiting of a WRAITH Dreadnaught, two CARRACK Cruisers, and four COMMONWEALTH Frigates has been sent to Earth to reestablish contact with our former Homeworld.

Thank you for your time."

On the edge of the SOL system a small black ship glided through space.

It fired off a tightbeam transmission straight towards a small repeater station it set up. The station rerouted the signal and it was intercepted by the fleet.

Between Earth and the Moon, space appeared to boil. Suddenly seven ships leapt into real space.

On board the bridge of the CSS WRAITH, Captain Osbourne spoke, "Comm, broadcast on all frequencies, all channels."

"Earth, greetings from the Confederation of Spartan Worlds. It has been along time since we have seen our former home."

Monacoran Temporary Earth Command Bunker, South American Mountains

Warning bells, klaxons, sirens, everything and everything was going off as General Brusilov, chief in command of all Garrison Regiments and current commander of the Earth Defense task force, walked into the control room.

"What the fuck is happening?
"Flotilla sir, seven ships. Nashtari by appearences!"
"FUCK! Get me details!"
Admiral Smirnoff walked over from a workstation.
"Not to worry General. They aren't Nashtari. Battle stations are going to be entering range soon, however. I've ordered them to alert, but nothing more."
A tech shouted out from a corner.
"Sir! Message from them, first contact messgae!"
"Relay it to the Prince then. Also send a message to Farpoint, our bosses might want to hear this."

Two Minutes Later

A message was sent back, it was a simple message.

"This is the Political Prince of Monacora. I bring greetings on behalf of the people and parliment of Monacora. We have much to discuss about what has happened since your absense began. We're sending customs officers up now to make sure there is no danger of serious cross-contamination, afterwards they will escort you down. I look forward to seeing you."
'After 9/11, it was "You're with us or your with the terrorists." Now its "You're with Straha or you support racism."' ' - The Romulan Republic

'You're a bully putting on an air of civility while saying that everything western and/or capitalistic must be bad, and a lot of other posters (loomer, Stas Bush, Gandalf) are also going along with it for their own personal reasons (Stas in particular is looking through rose colored glasses)' - Darth Yan

"Understood," replied Captain Osbourne. He gestured to the comm station to kill the signal.

"Inform the the SPARTANS to be ready to meet guests. I want them fully scanned for weapons before being allowed out of the hangar. And FULL bio-warfare safety proceddures."

Unity Station

"...and that is why Mr Ambassador the Minmatar will not only abide by the terms of the Unity Neutrality Pact but with your permission we would also like to enforce it. Basically what we're proposing is that you allow us to defend Unity Station from any forces breeching the Unity Neutrality Pact and in return we'll use our resources to defend Tortuga itself as mentioned in the UNP. We would be more then willing to co-operate with the Asgard in maintaining a tight defense within the Tortuga system. I believe I've already sent you the details on what defending this system would entail, but what I'd also like to mention in addition to what's already been said is that with the creation of the UTO, our economists are projecting large increases in the local economy. Tortuga's membership in the UTO would help to ensure economic stability and steady growth. With a little help Tortuga could be well on the way to becoming a well defended and prosperous nation. The mistakes and suffering of the past need never be repeated."

[Monacoran Space]

The captured Nashtar freighters had arrived with their prize crews. The ships were taken into proper custody were they would be assayed and then auctioned off as prizes of war when time permitted. The crews would all be wealthy men when they recieved their share of the money, provided they survived the war.

Until they went back many of them took the time to enjoy a bit of hellraising before going back to the war.

The customs team docked with the ship, and Marines stepped out. After giving the docking bay the once over the Customs officials walked into the bay. Scanning the atmosphere. It went over like a normal inspection, checking the visitors, and after a short blood test they were taken down to Andorra. There they were put through an exhaustive search any and every hidden and concealed device before they were taken to see the Prince. When they entered his office he, and choice cabinet members that he had brought with him, stood up, and greeted the new-comers.

"It's good to see new faces. HOw are you doing, I hope my bodyguards weren't too bothersome in their duties. Tell me about yourselves and your nation, and then I'll try to bring you up to date on the Galaxy today.

"First I would like to say it is an honor to meet you." Said Ambassador Wages. My people are from the Confederation of Spartan Worlds. We left Earth in the mid-21st century. We travelled for a long time before coming to our homeworld New Sparta. Since we arrived we have had no contact with Earth or anyone else out side of our little place in the stars. But tell us, what happened to Earth. Why is our home so destroyed. At the rate it was going when we left, we expected thousands and thousands of ships here."

"Mid-21st century... Diaspora ships, fleeing our coming. Where exactly was your point of origin, it'd be interesting to trace your ancestors.
As for the rape... a fleet, nothing more than machines really, showed up during an international meeting, and proceeded to irradiate and burn the planet. We stopped them from actually conquering it, but... nonetheless, it was a painful experience, one that still haunts us today.
"The long story is that they showed up as the minions of a homicidal paranoid machine, and lashed out against us because we were human, and living. They lashed out against us because they were also guided to us by a quisling nation, the Arcane Empire, a former member of the United Protectorates Alliance, and deals were struck to destroy Monacora. Needless to say, it didn't work. The Arcane Empire has fled in fear of retribution, and Earth is safe from attack once more.
"But you haven't told me about yourselves and your nation, I'm sure that it's a lot more pleasant then the galaxy around us."
