See, even heavily regulated private healthcare can compete with socialized healthcare and remain profitable.
Germany has both systems, and while that certainly leads to problems its a working system.
Our private healthcare mostly appeals to the wealthy, mostly by offering reduced waiting times, single rooms at hospitals and so on.
Now i'd much rather have a system without that, but the point is that even the "it will destroy the insurance industry"-argument is bullshit, because it clearly can and does work.
