MW Galactic Empire vs Star Trek Online
The Empire as imagined from Star Trek Conquest fanfic is invading the ST Galaxy as of 2409. All players are given command of their own ship and only have 1 life. If they die they are locked out of the game. The invasion starts in the same area as the original story. How will it go now with it being in the game universe?
Re: MW Galactic Empire vs Star Trek Online
Is this seriously a versus between a fanfic and a video game representation?
Anyway, TSI sends the invaders packing by chaining [Sensor Scramble III] and [Antimatter Spread], because the Empire can't use its Star Destroyers after the Sad Pandas debuff them with [Subnucleonic Beam]. The PvE crowd complains about turbolasers critting for too much damage. Cryptic makes a bunch of money off of Imperial Lockboxes in the cash shop.
Seriously, what the Christ?

Conquest Empire autowins when STO BSODs.
So I stare wistfully at the Lightning for a couple of minutes. Two missiles, sharply raked razor-thin wings, a huge, pregnant belly full of fuel, and the two screamingly powerful engines that once rammed it from a cold start to a thousand miles per hour in under a minute. Life would be so much easier if our adverseries could be dealt with by supersonic death on wings - but alas, Human resources aren't so easily defeated.

The Empire brings fifty thousand Star Destroyers into a single battle. The servers crash. End of story.
Q: How are children made in the TNG era Federation?
A: With power couplings. To explain, you shut down the power to the lights, and then, in the darkness, you have the usual TOS era coupling.

Re: MW Galactic Empire vs Star Trek Online
How about a PvE with 20 players in Fed/KDF ships up against one AI-controlled ISD- that would be fun to watch, especially if it leaves the Trektards foaming at the mouth when the ISD one-shots their brand new Odyssey-class cruiser
Re: MW Galactic Empire vs Star Trek Online
They'll just keep respawning and (eventually) wear down the ISD. Death is cheap in STOverse. You'd have to have it set on a timer or something like a Borg DSE.

In some of the elite STFs, the respawn timer increases by 15 seconds each time a player is killed- at any rate it'll be a more interesting fight than going up against the crystalline entity.
Re: MW Galactic Empire vs Star Trek Online
True. Though if the ISD is really unbeatable the devs will just nerf it in the next update until eventually some group can win.EnterpriseSovereign wrote:In some of the elite STFs, the respawn timer increases by 15 seconds each time a player is killed- at any rate it'll be a more interesting fight than going up against the crystalline entity.
