The visual evidence does not support the existence of a giant Ass-Afro radiator. Nor would it be a suitable medium for the emission of neutrinos. And if there were an afro it would be clear evidence of a radar dome even though WEG material would label it as a shield generator.

We don't have any ICS data or George Lucas statements on Conan O'Brien by which we can know facts about the soldier. But based on visual evidence alone, I think it is safe to say he looks like a Conan.

He may also be one of the Lost Primarchs, which may make him Primarch Conan of the Emperor's Yetis Legion.

Okay, more SRSLY and back to the topic of Where Is My Flying Car.

Imagine giving people today, who are all sorts of irresponsible and prone to drunk driving, flying cars. Imagine letting them fly over the cities, filling the sky with their levitating automobiles, flying in between the buildings, making traffic and cutting corners and all that jazz. You can imagine them flying right into buildings, or causing some sort of vertical pileup wherein all sorts of guys spin out of control and crash and burn in my ass to the ground, rite?

Rite.

So anyway, people brought up the clear skylines of Trek habitations, free of rampant aerocraft unlike Star Wars cities, as a sign of socialism and a lack of private possessions of shuttle crafts and flying cars. Are the skies of real world cities filled with people's private airplanes? I suggest an alternative idea. If there are privately-owned aircraft, or even government-owned aircraft, maybe big government socialist regulations discourages them from, you know, flying their aircraft at low altitudes over population centers and buildings for obvious reasons?

Maybe these aircraft instead fly over designated fly zones, and instead of flying into the city and right amongst the buildings and overhead in the sky, they instead fly over to a place outside the city and land in places designed just for aircraft and flying vehicles? Some kind of... airy... porty... placey... thinggy? :P

And maybe upon landing on these airy porty placey things, people could take some kind of subway or bus or car or taxi or even transporter pads? Cause, they don't just have public transportation. They can have friggin public teleportation. Maybe.

And maybe they also have strict requirements for, you know, owning vehicles that can fly high into sky at very fast speeds that could cause lethal collisions?

Now, imagine what kind of aerovehicular accidents happen on a regular daily basis on Coruscant. Drunk drivers huffing deathsticks. Guys skipping the red hologram. People just flying into buildings, cause apparently it's a smart idea to have flying objects dart between giant skyscrapers. Everyone and their friggin dog has a flying car. What the hell? That's like, everyone and anyone being legally licensed to fly private airplanes. It's that easy?

Maybe the difference is that SW is under-regulated, maybe it's some kind of horrible lubertopian nightmare. Prior to the Empire, their central government was already completely weaksauce with corporations fielding massive armies and fleets. I mean, Jesus, bounty hunting and slavery and shit is already common place. Maybe they don't regulate shit at all. That's why there's chattel slavery and no one cracking down on it, and that's why everyone has a flying car and every Saturday night someone ends up plowing his speeder onto the side of a starscraper.

And people like this shit?

It's weird. The people on this board usually deride lubertopians and deregulatory neoliberal psychos and Ayn Rand Fatlass Smuggers. People here think George W. Bush was a total asshole. People here don't like what happened to America during the 2000s, because of its descent into deregulation, financial unaccountability, rampant militarism and abolition of civil rights. Oh, and the degeneration of its government institutions for healthcare and other infrastructural shits, and the rampant privatization of all these things.

People here also like to applaud Canada and European nations for their progressive civil rights, for their socialized medicine, for their working public services infrastructure and stuff. People here like the regulation of businesses, the sensible laws, and all that.

Yet these same people prefer a monstrous authoritarian regime that not only invades other nations, but also destroys entire planets populated by its own citizens, where torture is common ground and even practiced by government officials on former elected representatives, where there is no regulation and where corporate entities field their own militaries and totally corrupt the government with their special interests, and where the very clear blue skies are blotted out by horrific traffic problems and collision risks with just about any chud can buy a flying car and fuck around with it? Is there anything good with these?

I thought people would be outraged, and they would say that irresponsible land speeder drivers should be sent to work on the Kessel Spice Mines, and that an SUV airspeeder is pretty much a lethal weapon due to its size and speed at the hands of an irresponsible or inebriated driver.

Yet, all these things are considered good or great when these are the exact antitheses of the enlightened social democracies usually held in high esteem by people.

It's like, if the governments of Canada or Finland or Sweden or Norway or Denmark with all their decent civil rights and welfare and socialized healthcare and sane government regulations removed all the trigger guards on the service rifles and pistols of their soldiers and policemen and chambered these weapons with non-lethal bullets that can't penetrate packing crates, and if George W. Bush placed a multi-gigaton neutronium-armored torture device in Guantanomo Bay and had it superlaserboard hairy terrorists who go yub-yub. Everyone here would do an ideological and opinionated 180 degree turn and end up shrieking about how the Swedes and Canucks are a bunch of filthy socialist sodomites and would cite all sorts of things from Murca as being the ideal exemplary things to follow, better than sliced bread, and more hydromatic and ultramatic than greased lightning and all that.

What the hell guys?

Hey, Bea Arthur as Ackmena is awesome. Bartender, singer, part of the Tatooine Underground Railroad.

They were even going to make an action figure out of her, as shown below:
