The New Jedi Order vs the Federation in a guerrilla war

Post by Star Wars 888 »

The New Jedi Order is dropped off in Earth. Their job is for some reason to take down the Federation government by assassinating their political leaders. The Federation government is aware of this and is actively trying to prevent it.

The NJO has a large amount of supplies and Star Wars technology. Let's say that Galactic Basic is indeed English and that the writing is the same as well.

Can they succeed?

Where on Earth? And what exactly constitutes the tech they have?
"No, no, no, no! Light speed's too slow! Yes, we're gonna have to go right to... Ludicrous speed!"

In Houston, Texas. They would have lightsabers, blasters, bacta, comlinks, life form scanners and such. For the sake of balance Stealth X's aren't allowed.

I think in combat the Jedi's best bet is to use a Lightsaber and DL-44 combination akin to a Power Sword/Bolt Pistol combination, with the DL-44 in their off hand.

This way they can engage the Feddies at a distance where Wide beam cannot be used to circumvent their Saber blocking abilities.

Jedi are known to be adept at stealth as seen regularly with Obi-Wan, who iirc has only been caught once (not counting EU occurances of him being captured while infiltrating), so they'd probably solid snake their way to the President and kill him either with a blaster bolt or a lightsaber, or better yet some other weapon that would be far more difficult to detect, I doubt force choke would be terribly kosher, but this is the NJO where force powers generally attributed to the dark side weren't uncommon, since even Luke used that one while being fully light side.

However I doubt they would get far without some means of circumventing life form scans and Transporters, which may be possible using the force, or some portable scrambling device.

I wonder if they have a form of Soliton Radar in Star Wars :P

We know that jamming devises in SW can be made small enough to be theoretically carried by a person. For example the jamming pack used by the A-Wing is small enough to be carried by someone. If a person were to take a fighter scale jammer and hook it to a power pack that is small enough for both to be carried inside a regular backpack then one person could theoretically provide jamming cover for the whole jedi team.

If you can jam the transporters and sensors then the jedi stand a good chance of succeeding in their mission.
You will see the tears of time.
