What would an official SW/ST crossover be like?

An Abrams crossover would make a certain amount of sense, as that reality is closer both stylistically and technologically to Star Wars to begin with than traditional Trek.

I think that it's safe to say that it would be pre new hope empire, for the same reason that it would be J.J. Abrams for ST.

I disagree. I would want to use actors that have performed most recently, rather than trying to cast new people in old roles. ST did this, but I see no need to reboot just for a SW?ST crossover when you could just use the actors from episode 3 and set it in the early days of the empire, especially with the interest in this era generated by the force unleashed.
