Course, that'd imply interial dampeners actually working.
It's a well seen fact a torpedo to the ass-end of a cruiser will send the bridge crew stumbling/flying. Despite the fact they have tech in the ship (the same stuff that makes them not feel the ship go to warp or suddenly increase/decrease speed) that should make such a hit not affect anybody unless it was dang huge, or was somebody in the immediate area around the hit. (Like, outside of the damage but still close. Like a torpedo strikes saucer near the bridge, bridge is undamaged but the bridge crew might be tossed around).
Course, I'd heard all kinds of techno-babble bullshit about why the dampeners can negate speed change or maneuvers affecting the crew, but a weapon strike it cannot.
TOS constitution class starship vs ISD.
