MACO Rifle rate-of-fire

Post by edaw1982 »

Was the MACO Pulse Rifle ever shown as capable of automatic fire? Or was it simple good fire discipline on the part of the MACOs?

I cannot recall ever seeing automatic fire from a MACO, no.

A) It says right in the description which episodes that clip is from (it's the modified opening to the Mirror-universe 2-parter). B) The clip of the MACO roping down and firing looks just like semi-auto, which is nothing like full auto would.

In a sense, all phasers / disruptors are "semi auto" firing all the time. Click / trigger and it fires.

Perhaps the term rapid fire might be a better description.

And how would you know what "full auto" and "semi auto" would look like on a phaser and how do you know they would look nothing alike?

Also I know it's from the mirror universe episode opening you moron, I meant I don't know which episode that clip is taken from originally. They didn't shoot that for the title sequence.
