Here's where DS9 fucked up the mirror universe: the klingons and cardassians were still assholes.

But it would be kinda cool to see a Dominion that was Lawful Good like the Federation is in the regular universe.

I think the general principle of the mirror universe was that everybody was an asshole.

Well, that's not true. In the original "Mirror, Mirror", the Halkans were essentially the same in both universes, it was just the Federation that was different.
