What is Your Favorite Cheesy Song?

Post by NeoGoomba »

Well? What song is your crazy little guilty pleasure, or that one song that you always fist pump to when youre drunk, but think is lame when your sober?

Mine has GOT to be "The Final Countdown" by Europe. 80's goodness at its BEST (WORST)

Honorable mention to Bon Jovi's "Livin on a Prayer"
"A person is smart. People are dumb, panicky, dangerous animals and you know it. Fifteen hundred years ago everybody knew the Earth was the center of the universe. Five hundred years ago, everybody knew the Earth was flat, and fifteen minutes ago, you knew that humans were alone on this planet. Imagine what you'll know...tomorrow."

A-HA's "Take on Me" a song that defined the decade and a video that made it even better.

I'm a nut for cheesy songs, especially 80s pop. Danger Zone probably takes the cake.

Oh fuck this is embaressing, but I still like that song by Cyndi Lauper, "Girls Just want to have fun." I think seeing so much of Cyndi Lauper(and madonna too) on TV as a young lad made such an impression on me, that it permanently affected my taste in women.

Also, "99 Luftballoons", and "Melt with You" are cheesy songs from way back in the day that I never stopped liking.

One of my friends, who didn't know how to work the jukebox machine at the pool hall, ended up programming the machine to play that song 8 times. He didn't understand the concept of a queue, and that you had to wait for the other songs to play first so he dropped in his change and punched the button a bunch of times to try & make the song come on.

Me? "Shiny Happy People" by R.E.M. Most of my friends think it's gay, but I don't care and I like the song.
