Re: Star Wars: Rebels
Oh god what a terrible idea. Not having seen the finale yet, but to ape something someone else said - Rebels quality has been probably - 65% crap, 15% ok, about 10% great. The first half of Season 4 in particular has been some of the worst he's ever produced. Rebels is at its best when there's epis...

Re: Star Wars: Rebels
I just had a thought. Since it was pretty much confirmed that Rex fought at Endor, that suggests that he spent most of Season 4 at the Yavin base, likely helping to train Rebel soldiers (what else are you gonna do with a veteran Clone Commander?). So do you think Luke ever got the opportunity to tal...

Re: Star Wars: Rebels
What possible sequence of events could lead to Ashoka being Luke's student ? One equally implausible to Anakin having a teenage padawan during the Clone Wars who survives Order 66? Hmm, here's a disquieting thought: is the introduction of time travel in Star Wars opening the door for an even...

Re: Where can I find better anime?
So, bringing this back up because I noticed some stuff got passed over. Summer Wars: A movie about two seemingly unrelated plots: A girl asks her classmate to pretend to be her fiance for her grandmother's birthday party, while a supervirus rampages though the internet. Both turn out to be very clos...

Re: Right wing tards get triggered by superman
Ironic thing about Hulk Hogan's theme about being a real American fighting for the rights of everyman, he was goddamn racist against black people. People who talk about "real Americans" fighting for the "everyman" generally see the everyman as white. Edit: People talking a lot a...

Take heart, Americans!
Donald Trump, our Dear Leader, has opened his heart to the people of Puerto Rico, Texas, and Louisiana...

Just... WOW.

Re: Right wing tards get triggered by superman
I've actually got the issue in question. The whole thing is actually pretty chilling, as it's part of a bunch of people all over the world being driven to giving into their worse impulses.

Forces of Destiny (Spoilers, for what they're worth)
So the first two episodes of Forces of Destiny are out. The series is basically a micro-series of three-minute episodes, and they're out on YouTube on Disney's channel.
The first two are set between scenes in The Force Awakens, taking place right after Rey picks up BB-8.

Titanfall 2 and gamers' hypocracy
Linked because I can't YouTube for shit on this forum So this guy's point is that despite numerous complaints about the sameness of games like Call of Duty or Battlefield, people really don't want change in their gaming, and they prove it with their wallets. His proof is the low playerbase of Titan...

Re: Star Wars: Rebels
Too bad the showrunners didn't seize this opportunity to cripple the rebel fleet even more by destroying their one and only Mon Cal cruiser. That would explain why the Profundity was the only cruiser present at the Battle of Scarif. I hope Admiral Raddus gets some development next season. It would ...

Re: Star Wars: Rebels
Compared to what the rebels have? It would certainly be neat unlimited resources. With Tarkin as his immediate superior and seemingly having a favourable opinion of you, how often is Thrawn going to be denied stuff? He got a whole new line of production set up. He's still in a backwater sector, tho...

Re: Star Wars: Rebels
Look, if your standard for liking the show's handling of Thrawn was "Thrawn wins completely, kills off the entire Rebel leadership and the Ghost crew"... well, then you were always going to be disappointed, because canon. Getting to take a nice big bite out of their fleet and kill a recur...

Re: Star Wars: Rebels
What a fucking waste of Thrawn as a character. They should never have used him in Rebels. Geez, you make it sound like he died here or something. Spoiler Alert: No he doesn't. Actual spoiler: And he beats the pants off the rebels in the process of not dying. What exactly was wasted about him? He fa...

To be fair, they were still trying to take prisoners. So low-powered shots en masse(and aren't those from the anti-fighter batteries shown in "Secret Cargo"?) to strip the shield and not kill the occupants afterwards.

Re: Why did people assume an Asian woman was the nanny?
Neither did I. I saw the dark hair, but nothing made me think "Asian" at the time. I kinda guessed "Nanny" too, but that was also due to her general state that came across as more of a Nanny thinking "I'm so fired!" than an embarrassed wife/mother trying to get the situ...

Re: Star Wars: Rebels
I just realized this episode managed to bring both Young and Old Kenobi together in the same episode. Other notes: Bail Organa kept Kenobi's existence close to the chest. Apparently the only other people who knew were Mon Mothma and Leia. This episode shows just how hard it is to find somebody on a ...

Tightening up the dialogue, for a start.
De-cutify the Ewoks a bit. Less Teddy Bear and more Big Dog. Take out their more childish traits.
Treat the space battle as more of an event in and of itself, not just a backdrop.

Re: Star Wars: Rebels
Thing is, I don't think Thrawn is after Sato. He want Bail Organa and Mon Mothma. He just doesn't know it yet. That is to say, he knows, or at least has figured, that he's dealing with a Cell Network and not just random groups of dissidents. Here, he squeezed one cell and got another to come running...
