"Retirement"
Perhaps they retired in the same way that the Replicants in Blade Runner retired. It would be a threat to the UFP if smart engineers actually won a war against the Romulans & Klingons, since they can't do that "we threatened so give us better weapons" routine.

Peeves
ST: God-like fanatical beings who can do whatever they want instantly ... and insist on helping idiots like Picard. (Q, this means you and that one guy on that one episode that killed an entire species with a thought). Everybody hates technobabble of any kind, so I won't mention it too much. Picard ...

And remember, with StarCraft, each force is the product of one base, in addition to a fairly arbitrary mancount limit. It's has been my theory that an individual Terran base can produce a number of tactically usable battlecruisers, while a Terran planet can bring a much larger industrial base (not o...

More Cowboy Bebop
Well, I'm preferential to a few songs from Cowboy Bebop (since it is the best soundtrack to a SERIES as opposed to a movie): Endings song, The Real Folk Blues Falling song, Green Bird (sung in a language created by Yoko Kanno(sp?) no less). Series end song, Blue . Plus, they're done by a band called...

Well, if a large number of Somalian militia can squeeze off Army Rangers (ref. Black Hawk Down), I see no reason why a standard 1000 of any militia equiped with AK-74s, some sniper rifles, grenades, and rockets cannot take out 1000 of Federation red-shirts, most of whom have not even heard the sound...

Repairs & Supplies
Besides that the Executor would, basically, not be damaged by any amount of AQ fire, where would it get its supplies? It would need a bit of intelligence to find one planet with sufficient resources to keep a SSD happy, especially with the industrial capabilities of the AQ. Of course, once a planet ...

Missiles galore
Well, considering that most of Imperial fighters do not have hyperdrive and are directly supported by capital ships, it would make sense to refit them to hold massive number of missiles and rip up all incoming fighters. But the Robotech fighters also fought on a very small theater (Earth and a few o...

Work & Energy
Eleas: You're mentioning that energy is work is correct, but only in reference to net energy & work. While there is no physical work done when, let's say, you pushing against a wall, your arms get tired from the chemical reactions that occur in your body. A steel cable has physical properties th...

I offer here two other alternative worlds: world of Robotech, and world of Rifts. Robotech would be cool for just one reason. Being able to pilot a VTOL fighter, or tank, or helicopter, or motorcycle that can turn into an ass-kicking battle armor just sounds fun. In Rifts there's the balance of magi...

Enterprise can win!
In think we are forgetting who are we dealing with. After all, the Enterprise have been able to survive numerous encounters with races that have remarkable technology, but once the crew of the Enterprise fiddle with their control systems they instantly become invincible. If you ask me, no matter wha...
