by Eternal_Freedom I like to think that the Nexus is the result of the St universe God being on an acid trip. The Nexus is God's Chariot! by Baffalo I'm actually surprised that, given the size of the Nexus, that it didn't also collect the entire crew of the Enterprise. Imagine this ending: The enti...

i don't know anybody who has been in that position. There was a movie i saw some years ago, basically the husband had to choose whether they should save the mother or the baby. he chose to save the mother (his wife) and when she regained consciousness, he explained they can 'have another baby'. Re: crude oil from algae
That's pretty neat. I recall experiments with algae where they have huge tubes of the stuff in the desert producing hydrogen gas that can be collected and used for fuel. There was one pilot plant on tv yesterday, that produces ethanol from algae and it's set up in the desert to take advantage of th...

I recall reading somewhere it was speculated one of the reasons the Dominion war shifted in favor of the Federation was that there had been an encounter between the Borg and Dominion that immediately had the Dominion shift priorities away from winning in the Alpha quadrant. I've often thought that ...

yeah, that's what happens when you make trek appeal to a wider audience. you alienate your core fans. I like the 'nu-trek' movies, but i don't consider them 'real trek' (whatever that means).tim31 wrote:They're catering to a different market these days.

Since it seems that many people that frequent Quark's pay via gold-pressed latinum the currency would have to be something that can't be replicated, for obvious reasons. Have you tried a Klingon dictionary? http://www.movies-dictionary.org/English-to-Klingon-Dictionary/ I know the explanation is they were all one big race and it was all a stupid genetic engineering plot. i quite liked Enterprise's retconn the others are 'fusions' (purposefully created hybrids of kli...

Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome was filmed in a quarry near Sydney. all of Bartertown was built and filmed there. This is one of his better guides and had some good insight.
I like Chuck's style and humor, but it feels whenever he moves away from anything Star Trek, he does a lot less analyzing and just becomes a narrator. But he's managed to take a lot from this movie, this time.
