Re: How(or why) does Legolas ignore gravity?
As far as the ropes "burning" Gollum, I actually always took that as Gollum just, you know, lying. Yelling and screaming and carrying on and generally throwing a tantrum so that the soft-hearted Hobbits would untie him, but not actually in any pain.

Re: How much would Starfleet ships sell for in the SW univer
Federation ships might do well as civilian luxury yachts or cruise liners. If all you intend to use it for is tooling around a system or maybe a sector while partying and gambling, most, if not all, of their deficiencies compared to standard Star Wars ships become irrelevant.

I love how there's never any context given with these "lobster binges," just "I saw someone buy steak and lobster with an EBT card, wahhh." For all anyone knows, that could be for a once-a-year birthday dinner, or an anniversary, or some other special occasion.

Re: Arkansas politician - bombing Iran will only take a few
Let me count the stupid 1. Did Cotton factor in one of the largest anti-air networks in the world and an intact, trained and motivated enemy airforce into his four day bombing campaign. 2. Did Cotton neglect the fact that Iran possess a land border with the places we will be launching these attacks...

Look, if someone has a hearing aid or cochlear implant and still has trouble hearing that one thing, but I'm fed up with old farts who can't hear and don't make any effort to correct the problem. The little old lady with the hearing aids yelling "WHERE ARE YOUR HEARING AID BATTERIES? I NEED SO...

Anecdotal: I was at a threat briefing a few years ago (can't recall exactly, due to attending the same damn training events at one of 3-4 military posts over and over for 7-8 years) where the counter IED instructor claimed that over half of the Vbieds detonated in baghdad were vehicles from Dearbor...

The guy's wife should have had her kid taken away too. She knew what was going on but did nothing. Then again, I'm guessing she was a pushover if she had to put up with her husband's girlfriend and kids living with them. Like Raw Shark said, she was probably beaten into submission and/or in fear fo...

Re: Is China a military threat to the US?
I do not think China is a threat to the U.S., because I do not believe that China and the U.S. are enemies. Rivals, yes, but each benefits too much from the other to be more than that.

I've been shot with a pellet gun, back when I was a teenager. Make no mistake, a pellet gun like that may not be very lethal, but it is fucking painful. I don't think the average lowlife is going to want to stick around for more than a couple of hits.

Re: Power Armor or Personnal Shields (RAR!)
Power armor, I think, would be most useful for engineers. Instead of guns, carry an array of power tools; Jaws of Life and/or other heavy-duty cutters, welders, hydraulic lifters, maybe an air compressor to run pneumatics and such. For those situations where you'd really like to have a bulldozer on ...
Re: Dreams
My dreams are usually of me doing utterly mundane things in an utterly mundane city/world that is completely different from anywhere I've actually been, except in my dreams. The dream world is consistent from dream to dream, or at least it seems to be, its just someplace I haven't actually been to.

Hey, Stas. As an American who doesn't want his country to be evil, I'd like to know, what would you have us do change/prevent this? Or did that ship sail in 1776 and I should just get a pair of jackboots and go with it?

Something I noticed in the Two Worlds 1, the mobs don't respawn. Meaning that the big, empty world just gets emptier, and emptier. It got to the point where I could just run around for hours and not see a thing.

A guy did this to me the other day at a stoplight. A lot of homeless people carry/set up signs, a piece of plywood could easily pull double duty for that.
