Re: Batman v Superman - Now with spoilers and plot discussion!
The chief problem for me with the Marvel vs DC situation is that frankly I don't know which is which. And yes, I know people keep telling me. But to me the whole superhero comicbook thing is so far out of my usual interest range that I can't remember. Like the first reference I have for Batman is th...

Re: Breaking: A British Member of Parliament has been assassinated
A lot of people think that an improvised and homemade firearm has to be crude but it really doesn't. A person that knows what they are doing and has access to relatively simple tools such as a lathe can still produce a functioning semi-auto pistol, revolver or even an AK. So it's not at all a stretc...

Thanks god for that. Maybe we'll finally get some good movies in a decade or so than. Stuff like the old Batman and Superman movies that actually were fun.

Re: The 2016 US Election (Part III)
Disagree; the only good time to push for rules changes is after you've won the nomination. Only then does a candidate have the juice to push through such reforms. Otherwise it's just spitting into the wind. But why would you want to than? I mean, if you've already won the game why bother about the ...

First of all, this is hardly a new position for him. He's been campaigning for such changes for a while. That does not really matter at all. Secondly, now would arguably be a better time than in the middle of the race, when demanding change could be taken as asking to have the rules changed mid-gam...

Basically I am personally of the opinion that it is very bad form to campaign for changes in the system this late down the race when its obvious he has lost. It carries all the undertones of a sore looser implying he would have won if not for the unfair system.

It would be cartoonishly funny though. And if you make a video of it, nobody can pester you for "no, really, we know you are hiding it, tell us where it is". Exactly. Especially if it's a major tourist spot or something and I get a lot of witnesses see me gently nudging it off the ledge. ...

Re: Morality of Genetically Engineering Soldiers like Jem'hadar or Stormtroopers
That boils down to two questions. 1. Are animals equal to people? 2. Is programing a creature after the fact less or more acceptable than engineering said creature with a programing included. Now, #1 is a non issue because the answer is obviously no. We might value animals but there is absolutely no...

Still, if you can make a movie that gets through and is seen by just 5% of the population than that's equivalent to having sold tickets to everyone in Germany. So even at half rates you're still earning boat loads of money.

Re: Warcraft discussion thread (spoilers)
I imagine it also has to do with just how many people they have. Like, lets say that 10% of people genuinely think that the Bayformers were a good series. The average western nation has what? 10-80 million people? America is a tad bigger but that's the general range. 10% of that is 1-8 million ticke...
