Why? It's just a demon-elf thing which happens to have the pigmentation of a Grey. It's no more a Grey than those lesbian space pirates in Consider Phlebas. (Gow and Kee-Alsophorus, they were called IIRC) Demons?! Demons?! "Elf" I can handle, "fruity bastards" I can handle, but ...

Hehe. It's definitely not everyone who can make stuff like that in their backyard, that's for sure. I couldn't, that's for sure.

Oh, and Verdigris should get his own comic book. Go-go androgynous grey-elf-demon-thingy with wierd spiky appendages!

Only if the person in question is pretty in an eerily androgynous way. As a matter of fact, I would cast Eve Salvail as a Slaanesh cultist on the basis of her appearance alone.

The Horten Ho229 never went beyond the prototype stage, but it would be the sexiest thing to ever come out of Germany if Franka Potente never had existed. I mean, it is an Art Deco flying wing! It appears that this film has the most insane script this side of Highlander 2: The Quickening.

Scratch that, it may be even less sane.

Are you saying that the manga makes no sense to people who have not seen the anime? No. Again, like usual, you're putting words into my mouth. I'm saying that seeing the anime is essential. It is the primary version of the story, while the manga is simply an adaptation. I was actualy genuinely curi...

Are you referring to the bit where she takes off her shirt because Kaji calls her a child? I personally thought that was hilarious.

Am I the only one who thinks that the society depicted in Gattaca is not really that bad when you take a less moralistic look at it, at least if you are one of the genetically enhanced? NGE - the anime vs. the manga

As some of you may know, I am perhaps the only person here who has read the first 7 volumes of the Neon Genesis Evangelion manga but never seen one moment of the TV series - and therefore I am rather curious on how the two compare to each other, especially since I am considering buying the series on...

Oceania (1984) is a pretty damn crappy place to live. There's no chance of high tech at all. In fact there's not much chance of a new shaving razor. Is 1984 really sci-fi? Well, the technology described in 1984 is far beyond what was described when the book was written - for example, the surveillan...

In the same way, the Daleks from Dr Who are objectively worse than the Imperium of Man by far (mostly because they're actually competant) but the setting isn't nearly as screwed up, because in the end, they're taken down, and they're not one of the best factions in the setting. Speaking of how the ...

Airless or otherwise inhospitable worlds aren't classified as deathworlds, and humans won't survive there naturally either.
