Re: Does Star Wars have phasing cloak technology?
Okay, thanks a lot for the information. Wasn't quite sure since I stopped paying attention to the EU after that whole "Legacy of the Force" thing.

Re: Does Star Wars have phasing cloak technology?
As people have stated "cloaks" in Star Trek and Star Wars aren't the same thing. While cloaking devices in both universes perform more or less the same basic function aka the reduce the ability to detect an object (be it ship, base or something else) to a point it's basically invisible to...

Sorry, thought I was editing the post when I was really quoting it. So - I screwed up on that and I'll own it.

Re: Does Star Wars have phasing cloak technology?
I know they have cloaking devices, since they were mentioned in Empire Strikes Back, but are there any mentions of them taking that technology further? I was just asking because I recall a couple of episodes from TNG that used a phasing cloak ("Pegasus" and "The Next Phase") tha...

Re: I want to see this guy make the jump from "Legendary" to "Canon" Character
Sorry, it's Jaxxon from the old Marvel Star Wars comics. Should have been more explicit in my original post.

http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/starwars/images/e/e9/Jaxxon-gamer.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20061025214956    Oh my, what a dreadful pun. Sorry about that. Still, I would like to see him—maybe in "Rebels", since it's a computer generated cartoon and all, so they could d...

Re: Star Wars: Rebels
Yeah, plus if they stick to canon the Rebels are bound to lose to the Empire in most of their engagements pre "A New Hope" since the opening crawl explicitly states that the Rebels won their first major victory against the Empire by stealing the Death Star plans.

Yeah, I think they said something like that in Q-Squared and the Q Continuum trilogy novels.

Something I've Always Wondered—
Okay, assuming the Jedi, Sith or some other Force Sensitives make it to the Star Trek Galaxy, and they fly around in their super fast ships and fighters—what would happen if one of them hit the Galactic Barrier? You remember that, from the episode "Where No Man Has Gone Before" which turne...

Just what is the upper limit for Midi Chlorian counts?
Say if you took a typical human's red blood cell of about 5 microns in diameter, and a Midi Chlorian was about the size of a nanobacteria—let's say about 50 nanometers—how many of those Midi Chlorians would realistically fit in the red blood cell without interfering with its primary function of carr...

What would be your ultimate kitbashed (i.e. "ugly") starfighter design in the Star Wars Legends universe?
Myself, I would take a TIE Advanced fighter, like the one Darth Vader used, minus the solar ionization wings or whatever they're called and add the wing and engine and rotating collar of a B-Wing to create a B-Wing TIE Fighter hybrid—the "B-W-TIE" or "Bow-Tie"! So does anyone els...

Re: How good is the Bat'leth as a melee weapon?
Probably the closest thing I can think of as a real-world equivalent to the bat'leth would be some of the crazier Indian weapons which, again, were almost never used in actual combat and were restricted to ceremonial use, one-on-one duels, and showing off. There are also some *really* wacky Kung Fu...

Re: This is Hilarious
You'd be amazed at the stupid shit people will believe and pass down through the generations in the form of religious indoctrination—which is what this Flat Earth nonsense is. They even claim that science is actually some kind of spooky mystical religion called "Scientism" and scientists r...

How good is the Bat'leth as a melee weapon?
Just a question for those of you with experience with or knowledge of bladed weapons such as swords and knives and daggers and axes and such. Would you want to add one of these to your personal arsenal for a post apocalyptic zombie infested world or leave it alone to go for a better weapon? Just cur...

Yeah, it looks like there was a rapier style lightsaber out there after all. At least in the AU.

Well, really a couple that go together so well they work as one— http://www.medieval-weaponry.co.uk/acatalog/solingen-rapier-main-gauche-710.jpg?width=400 The rapier and main gauche. Two fast and maneuverable blades that can block and attack, and absolutely deadly in the hands of a master swordsman....

Re: A Lightsaber Varient I'd Like To See
Yeah, I can see your point because while I'm busy trying to attach my blade to my rifle you've already moved in with your Ka-Bar or whatever and started stabbing. At least that's what I think would happen, but what do I know?
